이보다 족할 수가 없다
사람이 살면서
많은 욕심이 생기기 마련이다
그러나 많은 세월을 살다 보니
욕심보다는
이 욕심 저 욕심 이것저것을 내려놓으니
마음도 가벼워지고 몸도 가져워진다
왜 이걸 인생을 다 산 지금에야 깨닫게 되는지
이것도 다 공자님이 말하는 하늘의 뜻을 안다는 거고
부처님이 말하는 해탈의 이치 아니겠는가
젊어서 큰 꿈을 가지고 청운이 꿈을 꾸는 게 마땅하나
나이 들면 분수를 알고 그곳에 머무는 것도 좋은 선택이리라
오늘 잠잘 곳이 있고 입성이 대단치 않으니 헐벗지 않고
오늘 삼시 세끼를 잘 때우니 이것보다 더 만족할 게 어딨겠는가
더하여 커피 한잔을 마시고 생각에 잠겨
시를 한 수 적으니 이 보다 흡족한 생활이 있을 수 없다
내일 일은 내일 걱정하고 차후에 일은 차후에 걱정하기로 정하니
이보다 마음이 가벼울 수가 없다
누군가 말하지 않았던가
인생의
욕심과 재물 권력 명예는 물거품과 같으니
그렇게 허망한 걸 쫒지 말고
나이 들어 그냥 시간에 순응하며
자연을 벗 삼아
인생 번뇌란 잊어버리고
바람 따라 흘러가는 구름처럼
산 아래로 흐르는 명경지수처럼
그렇게 사는 게 어떠한가
세상 도처 인간들이여
역린같이 세상살이 인생살이 거스를 것 없이
그냥 순리데로 마음 가는 데로
편안하게 받아들이며
그렇게 그렇게 살다 가자구나

here is nothing more satisfying than this.
As people live,
It's natural to develop many desires.
However, as years pass,
Rather than clinging to those desires,
Letting go of this one and that one,
The mind becomes lighter and the body also lightens.
Why is it that only after living a whole life do we come to realize this?
This too is understanding the will of Heaven,
as Confucius said,
And isn't it the essence of liberation as Buddha said?
Is it appropriate for someone young to dream big dreams,
And as one ages,
isn't it a good choice to understand moderation and stay there?
Today,
there is a place to sleep and the lodging isn't particularly grand,
Today,
three meals are well-filled,
so where could one find greater satisfaction?
Moreover,
after drinking a cup of coffee and being lost in thought,
I write a poem or two;
there can be no more fulfilling life than this.
Deciding to worry about tomorrow's work tomorrow,
There can't be a lighter heart than this.
Hasn't someone said,
That in life, Desires,
wealth, power,
and honor are like bubbles in water,
So don't chase after such vanity,
As one grows older,
simply adapt to the passage of time,
Embrace nature as a friend,
Forget the worries of life,
Flowing like clouds following the wind,
Like a scenic spot flowing under the mountain,
How about living like that?
People all over the world,
Living life like a reversed scale,
living life without any resistance,
Just go along with the natural order,
wherever the heart desires,
Accept it comfortably,
Let's live like that.
