D: Luka, why are you walking around barefoot?
L: It's called grounding. My friend Laura swears by it. By touching your skin directly to the earth, you release bad energy and decrease stress levels.
D: So, if I take off my shoes and stand in the grass, I'll reap the benefits of the earth's electrical field?
L: Just humor me and take off your shoes./ B: I don't have time right now, but send me some information about it.
L: I'll send you Laula's blog. She has some compelling research./ L: Did you take a look at my friend's blog on grounding?
D: I did. It was really informative, so I'll try to have an open mind about it./ L: What made you change your tune?
D: I decided that walking around on the beach or in the grass is never a waste of time.
L: Would you like to join me for a little grounding right now? I'll show you a special place I like to go.
D: Sure, I have some time. I'll follow you in my car.
D: I thought maybe the placebo effect was how grounding worked, so I researched it more./ L: What did you find?
D: The result was backed by scientific data. People actually do experience changes in their blood pressure, cortisol levels, and more from grounding.
L: That's why I've been incorporation into my daily routine for the last few months.
D: If grounding can play a role in improving my health and well-being, I may do the same.
L: And even if it doesn't do anything, it's still a peaceful practice.
D: Hey! Luka! I joined a beach yoga class recently and the instructor brought up grounding.
L: They seem like complementary practices. What did the instructor say?
D: It was just an offhand remark. At the end of the class she said,"And now, let's ground ourselves by digging our toes in the sand.
L: It's been said that the beach has added benefits for grounding because of the salt water and the ozone in the air.
D: I don't doubt it. I felt really good after the class./ L: So, you're a believe?
L: You've been grounding every day for a month. What your verdict?
D: To be fair, there aren't a large number of studies on it, but that's because nobody can make money from grounding or patent the practice.
L: Sad but true. But you must have had an opinion on your own experience.
D: I have cone to a confusion, and I believe that grounding is real. I feel the effects in every aspect of my life.

R: Peter, I hate to spring this on you, but I need you to go to Las Vegas next weekend for the tech show.
P: I'm not sure it's possible on short notice.
R: As you know, Ron was taking Mike to assist him because he knows the technology so well.
P: I know, we spent months designing the presentation.
R: Mike broken his arm last weekend and you're the only one who knows the tech as well as him.
P: So, you need me to be Ron's right-hand man?
P: Rachel, did someone book my flight for Las Vegas? The expo kicks off on Saturday, right?
R: Yes, but the flight Ron on is fully booked, so you may have to go a day early.
P: Did you clear it with the accounting department?
R: Don't worry, my assistant is finalizing all the details and will email you your itinerary.
P: I'm glad somebody is on the ball. I wouldn't be able to organize this and still do my job.
R: You should have everything you need by the end of the day.
P: Ron and I shipped the supplies to the convention center last week, so we only need to take our personal luggage.
R: Did you pick out which presentations you'll attend?
P: We went over the program and selected four presentations and one panel discussion each.
R: Only four? I hope you don't think this will be all fun and games.
P: No, we decided it was best to have both of us at the booth as much as possible.
R: True. But don't miss the opportunity to learn about the competition and possible partners.
R: Welcome back! I hope the tech expo was a success./ P: Ron and I knocked it out of the park during our presentation.
R: I heard! A tech blogger said you two were, and I quote, "In sync with each other as though they were sharing one mind."
P: You know Ron, he's a perfectionist. We rehearsed it every day all the way through.
R: I'm sure you both fine-tuned it each time you practiced. It was called "the best presentation at the expo."
P: That's good to hear. I'd like to go again next year.

론을 잘 아시잖아요, 그는 완벽주의자예요. 우리는 매일 처음부터 끝까지 리허설을 했어요.
분명 두 사람 다 연습할 때마다 세부 조율을 했을 거예요. "박람회 최고의 발표라고 불렀죠."
