숙소의 아침
이곳은 고급 리조트이다. (약1만9천원정도)
The morning scenery of the hotel where I stayed.
I paid only 19,000 won for the hotel which was a high-class resort.
아침일찍 숙소옆 강을 내려다 보고있으니
I was looking down the river flowing near the hotel.
어디선가 아이들이 보트를 타고 거슬러 올라온다.
Boys rowed up the stream.
강가쪽으로 올라오면 역류효과 때문에 거슬러올라오기 좋다.
It is easier to row at the side of the river than the center of the river.
그러자 그럴싸한 그림이 나온다.
I took a wonderful picture of beautiful scenery.
이 강의 정체가 수상하여 상류로 거슬러 올라가보니 인공적으로 조성되었다.
I was curious about the river. I walked up the stream.
I found out that the river was dammed at upstream.
이건 발전시설이다. 수력발전.
I found a hytro-power plant.
이 간판을 보니 이동네는 수력발전을 하고 있었던 것이다. 그러면 물은 어디에서 왔나?
유역변경식 수력발전소다.
I read the signboard explaining about the power plant.
Where does the water come from?
The water was dirverted from the other watershed for the power plant.
이 지도의 상단부에 Theun-Hinboun Dam 이라는 글씨가 있다.
메콩강지류인 Nam Kading의 물을 빼서 높이차가 있는 아래쪽으로 빼서 전기를 생산하고 있다.
그 지점의 작은 네모가 위치한 곳을 찍은 것이 위의 사진들이다.
그리고 이 지도의 중앙부의 커다란 호수도 수력발전사업을 위해 인공적인 호수를 만들다 보니
그저께 답사한 고사목지대와 같은 국립공원이 만들어진 것이다.
이 나라의 경제규모에 비해 이 수력에너지산업의 잠재력은 크다고 한다.
I could read the words, Theun-Hinboun Dam, at the upper part of the map.
The water of the tributary, Nam Kading, was diverted to the watershed at lower altitude
in order to generate electricity. Also, the big lake at the center of the map was a
man-made lake for the electricity. The national park which had lots of withered and dead trees
I saw the day before yesterday, was made by the man-made lake.
I think Laos has a large hydro-power potential, compared with a small scale of economic development.
이 강은 수력발전소의 산넘어에 있다. 이 강의 상류 어딘가로부터 낙차가 있는 그 장소로 물을 파이프로 빼서 전기를 만드는 것이다.
This river is originating from the place somewhere over the mountains.
The water is diverted from the upper basin to the lower basin in order to generate electricity.
라오스의 마을버스는 트럭을 개조했다.
이 버스가 이제부터의 노선에는 자주 다녀서 하라 상도 풀코스를 순례할 수 있게 되었다.
The village-bus was remodeled from the truck.
This kind of bus was the main transportation system in this area. Mr. Hara rode this bus.
He could join the pilgrimage more often than before.
길가에 있는 폭포수를 즐기다.
I enjoyed the waterfall near the road.
집 家의 유래가 '지붕아래 돼지'인데, 이 사진이 딱 그 모델이다.
예전같으면, 사람의 똥은 영양분이 많아서 돼지에게는 귀한 식량이다.
똥으로 돼지를 키우면 완벽한 순환경제가 실현된다.
육류걱정은 별로 안해도 되고 돼지똥은 거름으로 쓴다.
돼지는 뱀과 천적이라 안전판도 된다.
The Chinese charater,家(house), means "a pig under the roof."
This picture stand for 家(house).
In the past, dung of people became the food for the pigs.
To grow pigs by the dung of people realize perfect cycling economy.
The pigs supply meat, and the dung of the pigs is used as fertilizer.
The pigs are natural enemy to the snakes.
Therefore growing pigs keeps the snakes away from the house.

Since the social status of the monks is high, there are many boys who apply for the monk.

I could observe the spinning wheel which demands a high-quality technics in the process of
designing various figures.
