The area of government offices.
라오스 쌀국수는 누구에게나 권유할만하다.
Rice noodle of Laos is recommendable food for everyone.
취사용 연료로 숯이 많이 쓰이는 것 같다.
Charcoal seems to be a main fuel for cooking.
일단의 아주머니들이 무리지어 산으로 들로 열매나 나물을 채취하러 다닌다.
필자에게 농담도 걸었다.
A group of women are walking together in order to collect nuts and edible herbs in the field
and mountains. One of them tried a joke to me.
메콩강 지류인 Kading 강
Kading river is a tributary of Mekong river.
오늘은 혼자 걷는 시간이 많다.
이 사진을 찍은 지점쯤에서 도요다 지프차가 2대 서 있다.
그냥 지나치려니 공안(경찰) 여러명이 불러세운다. 아마 제보를 받고 기다린 모양이다.
그들중 약간 나이가 많고 모자도 쓰지 않고 다른 색의 제복을 입은 이가 구체적으로 묻는다.
필자는 리플렛을 보여주면서 탈원전을 주제로 도보순례중이라고 하면서
그동안 걸어온 길과 로마까지 2년간 갈 것이라는 이야기를 하였다. 매우 놀란다.
그리고 Hanoi~Vinh~Nam Phao~Lak Sao를 거쳐 여기까지 왔다고 하니까
얼마나 걸렸느냐고 묻는다. 꼭 한달 걸렸다고 하니까, 그는 '당신 strong man' 하면서 웃으면서
패스포트를 돌려준다. 그리고는 곧장 자리를 떠난다. 아마도 정보계통의 인사인가 보다.
Today I walked the course alone.
At the point where I took the picture below, policemen in two Toyota jeeps are waiting for me.
I was just passing by. They have waited for me because somebody informed the police
about me. The man who had clothes with different color seemed to be the head.
He asked me several questions. I gave the leaflet and explained about the pilgrimage.
I told him that I would walk until Rome for two years. He was surprised at my explanation.
I told him that I have walked from Hanoi~Vinh~Nam Phao~Lak Sao to this point in Laos.
He asked me "How long have you walked?" I said "one full month."
He told me "You are a strong man", with a smile. He returned my passort to me.
He was doing his job as police. They went away.
드디어 메콩강이다.
Finally, I arrived at Mekong river.
이 학생이 가상하다.
메콩강 합류부의 긴다리를 중간가까이 건너고 있는데 뒤따라 달려와서
필자에게 점심을 대접하고 싶다는 말을 영어로 한다.
필자는 기다리는 사람이 있어서 곤란하다고 하면서
대신 리플렛을 보여주고 이것 저것 설명을 해주었다.
눈을 반짝이며 듣는다. 함께 한 컷.
This student was praisable.
I was walking along the long bridge located in the confluence of Mekong river.
He followed after me. He said in English, "I would like to treat you lunch."
I said to him "I am sorry. Somebody is waiting for me."
And I gave the leaflet to him, and explained about the pilgrimage.
He listened my explanation with attention. I took a picture with him.
