With air conditioner, the expense goes up to 24,000 won.

이젠 건너 저쪽 편이 라오스다.
The Mekong river flows in front of our lodging.
Now, the opposite side of the river is Laos.

좀더 안전을 기하고 있다.

걷기 시작하자 이 청년이 오토바이를 타고와서 먹을 것을 잔뜩 준다.
보살심이 가득한 얼굴이다.
순례자를 탁발승처럼 생각하는 것 같다.
Right after we started, this young man came to us by motorcycle.
He gave us many things to eat. His face reflects his merciful mind.
He seems to think us as mendicant friars.
태국과 인도는 일본처럼 좌측 통행이다.
4차선인 2번 국도는 정비가 잘 되어 있다.
거의 일직선인 이 도로는 걷기 명상에 안성맞춤이다.
한국순례때 자비선사 지운스님으로부터 배운 걷기명상법이 생각난다.
요체는, 발꿈치부터 발가락에 이르기까지 구르는 듯 걸으면서 그 감촉을 무심한듯 알아차리고 걸어가는 것.
매순간 일신하는 느낌으로 걸어가기.

In Thailand and India, people walk in the left-hand side on the street.
The national road no. 2 has four lanes. The national road was well maintained.
The straight road was good for walking.
I recollected 'meditative walking' which I learned from Jiwoon monk at Jabiseonsa.
The point is, while you walk as if you roll over, to be aware of the mindless sense of the touch from heel to toe.
In other words, meditative walking is to walk as if you start all over again at every step.

태국은 땅덩어리가 크다.
인구 6800만에 면적은 한반도의 약 2.3배로 인구밀도가 낮은 편이다.
농업도 라오스와 유사하게 생태적으로 운영되는듯 하다.
Thailand is a relatively large country, but the population density is low.
The population is 68 million, and the size is 2.3 times of Han Peninsula.
Agriculture is practiced following ecological principles just like Laos.

오른쪽의 청년은 야자열매 주스를 팔고 있었는데 로마까지 걸어간다는 것을 알고는
주스값을 받지 않았다.
Thai people are soft and kind.
The young man in the right-hand side was selling coconut juice.
However, when he heard that we walk to Rome he gave us coconut juice free.
오늘 26.5km 꽤 먼거리를 걸었다.
마침 날씨도 선선하고 오후에는 비까지 내려서 무난히 걸었다.
Today we walked 26.5 km, long distance.
But the weather was not hot, and it rained in the afternoon.
We finished today's course without diffuculty.
