오늘은 한국의 명절인 추석이다.
아침일찍 한국을 향해 절을 올렸다.
Today is Chusok. (Thanksgiving Day in Korean tradition.)
Early in the morning, I performed a big bow toward Korea.
어제 도착한 지점에서 시작하려니 식당의 아주머니들이 반긴다.
어제 나누어준 리플렛을 이미 보고 사연을 알게 된 것이다.
When I started walking from the point where I arrived at yesterday, the women in the restaurant welcomed us. After reading the leaflet which I handed out yesterday, they understood our pilgrimage.
기념사진들을 제대로 찍었다.
I took a nice picture of commemoration.
구름이 나지막히 깔리면서 나그네를 감싸준다.
The clouds spread at low altitude, and covers a lonely traveler.
둠벙에는 연꽃이 한창이다.
The lotuses were in full bloom at a pond.
이 친구들은 자주만나길래 이번에는 표정을 상세히 찍어보았다.
"자네는 어디서 왔는가?"
둘중 위의 친구는 왼손이 안보인다.
I have met this crab, my friend, several times.
This time, I took a close picture of this crab.
"Where are you from?"
At the first picture of crab, you can see that my friend has lost left hand.
동네 아저씨들끼리 연락이 되었나보다.
조금전 지나면서 크게 환영했던 사람들이 있었는데
그분들이 연락했는지 이분들은 동네어귀에서 먹을 것을 준비해서 기다리고 있다.
Someone happened to know of our pilgrimage.
I was passing by a group of people who welcomed us eagerly.
Probably they informed the villagers, and the villagers prepared much food.
The villagers were waiting for us.
2번국도로 다시 돌아왔다.
I came back to the national road no. 2.
우렁이들이 번식하면서 이렇게 큰길까지 진출해있는 모습을 종종 본다.
Mud snails were prospering so much that sometimes they are found at the roadside.
낚시를 즐기는 동네사람들
그런데 물속에 있는 분의 옷에 한글로 "대들보 자원봉사회"라고 적혀있다.
그 옷의 연유가 궁금하다~
The people were enjoing fishing.
On the T-shirt of the fishing man in the water, I could see "대들보 자원봉사회" written in Korean.
I wonder how the T-shirt arrived at the fishing man.
우리가 있는 잠깐 사이에 마침 두마리나 낚았다.
While I was looking at the fishing man, he cought 2 fishes.
어느 주유소의 직원들과 함께. 하라상의 표정이 즐겁다.
Mr. Hara took a picture with the workers of a gas station.
The appearance of Mr. Hara looks happy.
평화로워 보이는 들판이다.
The field looked peaceful
아름다운 보살님들이 차를 몰고 필자옆에 세우더니 창문을 열고,
"Where are you going?"
필자는 익숙하게 리플렛을 보여주면서
"서울에서 방콕을 거쳐 로마까지 걸어간다."
리플렛에 있는 지도와 사진을 보면서 금방 이해한다.
곧바로 인증샷.
Two beautiful ladies were driving a car.
They stopped the car at the side of us.
The driver opened the side window and asked us, "Where are going?"
I showed her the leaflet and said, "We are walking from Seoul to Rome, via Bangkok.
They understood our pilgrimage at once.
I took a picture together.
이분들은 차내를 뒤지더니 마실 것이 작은 생수밖에 없자,
필자에게 그것을 건네주면서 음료수를 사서 마시기 바란다고 하면서 100바트(3500원)를 건네준다.
그 모습이 에뻐서 다시 찍었다.
They ransacked inside of the car, only to find a bottled water.
The lady handed out the bottled water to me, and gave 100 bat (3500 won) to buy additional drinks.
하라상도 지구촌 친구들을 부지런히 만났다.
Mr. Hara was busy with meeting other friends of Earth Village.
막바지 휴게소에서 만난 고양이.
필자의 배낭에 붙어있는 "핵발전소 이제 그만"이라는 녹색 몸자보를 유난히 좋아해서 입으로 몇번이고 잡아 당겼다.
I met a cat at the last rest area. The cat liked the green placard on my body.
The cat pulled the placard by mouth which has the writtings of "Nor more nuclear power plansts!"
늦은 출발이어서 낮시간을 줄곧 걸었는데도
하루종일 날씨가 좋아서 무난한 순례였다.
기억에 남을 추석이다.
SInce we started late in the morning, we continued walking without a long rest.
The weater was very cooperative, and today's pilgrimage was not diffucult.
It was a memorable Chusok.
