하라상이 말레이시아로 넘어올 무렵부터 감기기운이 있더니 나흘전부터 심해졌다.
필자도 이틀을 함께 쉬면서 기다렸지만 차도가 없어서 어제와 오늘은 예정했던 바를 혼자서 움직였다.
Mr. Hara had a slight cold from the time when we came into Malaysia. He got worse from 4 days ago.
I waited and rested for two days. But he did not recover, and I started today's course alone.
호텔 로비에서 자주 만난 인도의 어린 친구. 필자와 친해졌다.
I became friend with a small Indian friend whom I met at the hotel lobby frequently.

유명한 힌두교 동굴에 갔다.
I went to a famous Hindu cave.

At the last day, I walked and saw several sights of interest. I walked about 12 km.

길거리에 종교적 분위기가 가득하다.
I could feel the religous atmohphere in the streets.
도교 사원으로 유명한 곳
A famous Taoism temple.
도교의 존경받는 인물들과 함께 관음보살도 모시는 것이 특징이다. 중국계의 관광객들이 많다.
The characteristics of Taoism temple is to have statues of respected figures and the Merciful Goddess.
I could see many tourists from China.

The desigh of buildings was diverse.
말라야 대학으로 가는 도중 보이는 찻집.
장식용 열대나무가 인상적이다.
I could see a teahouse on the way to Malaya University.
The tropical trees in front of the teahouse were impressive.
쿠알라룸푸르는 홍콩 못지 않은 입체도시다.
Kuala Lumpur is a three-dimensional city just like Hong Kong.
신구시가지가 융합적으로 질서있게 변하는 모습은 흥미롭다.
필자전공인 도시계획분야의 연구대상이 될 만하다.
The hanmonious composition of old town and new town is very interesting.
It seems to be an example of city planning study which is my major.

육교위에서 아이들을 만났다. 한참 설명한 후 함께 한 컷. 아이들과 함께 하는 시간은 언제나 즐겁다.
I met boys on the overpass. I explained about the pilgrimae, and took a picture with the boys.
It is always nice for me to meet and talk with the children.
가는 도중의 코스를 검색해보니 한식당이 있어서 김치찌개를 맛있게 먹었다.
I found a Korean restaurant by web-surfing. I ordered pork stew with kimchi. It was delicious.
잠시 서서 땀을 훔치는 사이에 필자와 마주친 외국여성 둘에게 리플렛을 주었더니, 필자에게 몇마디 묻더니 돈을 준다. 10링깃과 5링깃. 반갑고 놀라서 어디서 왔느냐고 물으니까 프랑스란다. 멋진 여인들이다.
좀더 상세한 얘기를 나누었다. 아쉽게도 이번 코스에 프랑스가 빠졌다는 얘기와 함께. 그리고 함께 한 컷~
While I was resting for a moment, I found foreign tourists and handed out leaflets.
They asked me several questions. And they gave me money, 10 lingit and 5 lingit.
I was surprised by the donation and asked "Where are you from?" They were nice French women.
I explained about the pilgrimage in detail.
It was regretful for me to say that France was not included in the pilgrimage course.
I took a picture with the French.
유명한 말라야 대학 캠퍼스다. 여기는 외부인이 걸어서 들어가기가 어려운 곳이다.
두 차례나 경찰의 제지를 받았다. 사전약속이나 공문서가 있어야 한다고.
This is the campus of Malaya University which is not open to visitors.
I was stopped two times by the guard. He said "You can enter if you made an appointment ahead or if you carry a permission.
하지만 필자는 굴하지 않고 설득하여 입성했다.
한국의 대학교수 신분증을 보여주고 이번에 로마가는 길목에 당신네 대학 캠퍼스를 한번 보고 싶다고.
But I did not give up. I tried to persuade the guard. I showed him the ID of Suwon University professor.
I exapliained about the pilgrimage. Finally I could go into the University.
그래서 그런지 캠퍼스는 시내 한복판임에도 아주 조용했다. 학생들이 공부만 하는지 아니면 날씨가 더워서 그런지~
이곳은 적도가 가까워서 11월임에도 수은주는 31도다.
Since it was not open to tourists, the campus was very quiet.
I wonder whether the quietness comes from the hot weather or dilegent students.
This region is near to the equator. The temperature goes up to 31 degrees even in November.
캠퍼스 바깥에 있는 말라야 대학 부설 연구소
A research institute of Malaya University is lacated at the outside of campus.
아름답기로 유명한 태국식 불교사원에 도착했다.
이름은 Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple 이다.
규모도 작고 지은지 20년정도이지만 태국불교예술의 화려함과 미학이 살아 있는 느낌이다.
I arrived at a Buddist temple which was very famous in Thai style.
It was 20 years old and small temple.
But the splendor and beauty of Thai art in Buddhism were alive.
부처님을 모신 법당에서 젊은 부부가 스님께 인사드리면서 뭔가를 기원하고 있다.
At buddhist santum, a young couple bowed to the monk, and said their wishes.
검은 색의 부처님 상이다.
이 나라에서 본 인도인의 피부색은 짙은 갈색이다.
부처님의 리얼한 모습에 가까울 터이다.
The color of Buddha statue was black.
The skin color of Indians in this country was dark brown.
This black statue seems to be close to the real appearance of Buddha.

I took a picture with the clerk who became my friend after I arrived at the hotel several days ago.
내일 귀국행 비행기를 탄다.
인도 장기비자는 한국에서 절차를 밟아야 한다. 그 절차도 인도입국을 앞둔 시기에.
반년만의 귀국이다~
Tomorrow, I will fly to Korea.
I have to receive long-term visa from Indian Embassy in Korea.
They say that I have to take a visa interview right before I enter into India.
I go to Korea in six months.
