오로빌에 대해 주인장으로부터 들은 얘기를 메모했다.
"46개국에서 3000명이 모여살고 있다
버는 돈의 13%가 세금이고, 20%가 오로빌본부에 낸다.
1973년 오로빌이 만들어지기 시작했는데 이 집은 20년 되었다.
이집도 땅을 개인이 매입하여 건설후 본부에 기증힌 것이다. 오로빌본부에서 관리하고 자신들은 대행을 하고 있다.
이러한 적극적인 기부를 기초로 재정관리가 일원화되고 있다. 합의에 의한 공동운영이 이루어 진다."
I took notes about Autoville while I talked with the owner of the guest house.
"In Auroville 3,000 people from 46 countries live together. They pay 13% of the total earnings as tax, and give 20% to the Auroville headquarter. Auroville was opened in 1973. This house was built 20 years ago. This house was donated to headquarter by an individual who purchased the land and built this house. The Auroville manages the house and they act for Auroville. On the base of positive contributions, the monetary management was unified. Auroville adopted unified management which was agreed upon by members of Auroville.
방문자센터까지 약5km를 걸었다.
I walked about 5 km to the Visitors Information Center.

This is Aurolec where a ventrue company and an organic restaurant are located.
This seems to be one of the Auroville bases.
전기자동차와 바이오디젤 자동차가 있다.
I could find an electric car and a biodiesel car.
익히 알려진 바와 같이 인도는 소들의 천국이다.
As you know, India is a heaven of cattles.

오로빌 내부는 이런 비포장길이 대부분이다. 포장한 길보다 걷기가 훨씬 좋다. 온갖 생명들에게도 마찬가지일듯.
Inside of Auroville, this kind of unpaved roads are common.
It is better for me to walk on unpaved road.
I am sure all other living beings would like unpaved roads.
오로빌 방문자센터에 도착했다.
I arrived at Visitors Center.
마리라는 프랑스 출신의 오로빌 책임자 한 분을 만났다.
I met a staff of Auroville whose name was Marie, a French woman.
커다란 관심을 보여서 센터의 카페에서 지도를 펼쳐놓고 여러 이야기를 나누었다.
She showed a great interest to my pilgrimage.
I spread the map at the cafe of the visitors center.
I talked with her on various topics.
은하수를 형상화 한 공간적 개념을 가진 오로빌은
그 중심에 인상적인 구형의 명상공간이 있다.
내부에서의 명상체험은 4일전 예약제라서 들어가지 못하고 떠나게 되었다.
Auroville which formalized a spatial concept of galaxy has a spheric meditation space.
The experience course of meditation at Auroville continues for 4 days.
I could not try the meditation course because I did not apply in advance.
이분은 필자를 인터뷰하고 싶다고 해서 약속시간을 잡았다.
This man wanted to interview me, so I set an interview schedule.
미국에서 온 이 젊은 친구는 연신 감탄하더니 미국에는 오지 않느냐고 한다.
기특하게도 500루피(약 8500원)의 지폐를 필자에게 기부한다.
This young man came from U.S. and he donated me 500 rupi(equivalent to 8,500 won) with exclamation after hearing about pilgrimage.
