오늘은 학생들과 젊은이들을 많이 만났다.
Today I met many youths and students.
오늘 오전은 일단 혼자 걸었다.
I started today's course alone in the morning.
옛날에 만들어진 큰 길인 듯하다.
약 8미터폭의 이 도로는 1번이라는 명칭으로 지도에 올라있다.
오래된 공장들이 많다.
철도와 강이 나란히 지나가고 있어서 입지조건이 좋기 때문인듯.
This seems to be a wide road which was made long time ago.
The width is about 8 meters and it was named as No. 1 road.
There are many old factories along the road.
Location of industry is very good because the railway and river go side by side with the road.
도로 맞은편에 여학생들이 호기심과 미소를 보이며 지나간다.
사진을 찍어도 좋으냐고 제스추어를 보이니 포즈를 취한다.
At the other side of the road, some girl students show curiosity and smile.
I gestured if it is O.K. to take a picture. They posed yes.
헌혈캠프 및 담요기부단체가 주관하는 문화프로그램 입간판이다.
The sighboard showes blood donation campaign and cultural program organized by blanket distribution camp.

이 좁은 도로는 이제 교통공간기능보다 생활공간기능이 더 크다.
Street vendors are common in India.
This small road is used more for liviing space than for transportation space.
도로폭이 넓은 곳은 보도정비가 동시에 진행되고 있다.
The maintenance work is going on for the wide section of the road.
교복입은 초등학생들이 나란히 앉아 있다.
배경이 되는 간판의 인물이 누구인지 궁금하다.
The primary school students with uniforms are sitting side by side.
I wonder who is the man in the signboard.
필자가 사진 찍는 모습을 건너편의 학생들이 보고 있다.
The students in the other side of the road are looking at my pose to take a picture.
필자가 다가가서
걸어가는 이야기를 하기 시작하니까 사방에서 학생들이 몰려온다.
리플렛 한뭉치가 순식간에 전달되었다.
I approached to them. The moment I started to talk about pilgrimage, many students came to me.
A bundle of leaflets were given to them in a moment.
헤어지면서 환호성의 기념사진 한장.
They shouted in exclamation. I took a picture of the moment.
간디 동상이 보인다.
I saw a statue of Gandhi.
이를 보고 다가온 젊은이들에게 순례이야기를 해주었다.
While I was standing In front of Gandhi, some youths came to me.
I explained about the pilgrimage.
노점이발소.
작지만 격식을 갖추었다.
A street barber. Though the barber shop was small, it had essential facilities.
거리에는 제과점이 많은 편이다.
어느 가게에 들러서 먹은 수제 과자들.
싸고 맛있다.
There were many bakeries at the street.
I ate some hand-made cookies. Cookies tasted good and cheap.
어느 기차역 건물늬 벽화모자이크.
그림의 내용도 볼 만 하다.
I found a wall painting mosaic at railway station.
The contents of the painting were good.
어느 초등학생이 필자에게 깍듯한 합장을 한다.
웃음짓는 모친이 그렇게 하라고 한 것이다.
정겨운 모습이다~
A primary school student joined hishands toward me.
His mother told him to do so. She was smiling.
Pathetic moment.
하라상이 짐을 옮겨둔 뒤 합류했다.
Mr. Hara joined after carrying the baggages.
강이 내려다 보이는 어느 동네에서 쉬고 있으려니 사람들이 다가와 이야기를 나누었다.
I was looking down the river when I was resting at a village.
Many people came to me and asked questions.
지도를 펼쳐서 함께 찍었다.
I spread the map and took a picture.
큰 강을 건너서 보드가야로 가는 옛길을 찾아간다.
강이름은 Hooghly River.
I crossed a big river and followed the old way to go to Bodh Gaya.
The name of the river was Hooghly river.
한시간에 한두번 다니는 배다.
The shuttle ship operates one or two times in one hour.
강 한가운데는 섬도 있다.
자연상태 그대로의 섬이다.
보고 있자니, 이런 자연그대로의 섬들도 공사한답시고 파괴한 이명박의 소행이 떠오른다.
There was an island in the middle of the river.
The island kept untouched natural conditions.
When I looked at a natural river, 4 rivers restoration project by Myung Bak Lee came to my attention.
President Lee destroyed natural ecosystem of 4 rivers.
맞은 편 강나루.
River ferry at the other side of the river.
부두를 목재들로 튼튼히 만들었다.
The pier was made by timber, which was very strong.
옛길에 있는 마을 힌두교 사당.
A Hindu temple at an old road.
그안에 모셔진 어느 여신의 모습을 엿보았다.
I glanced at a Godess inside the temple.
현대식 주택들도 들어섰다.
I saw modern houses at roadside.
넓은 축구장은 어디에고 있다.
Wide playground for soccer was found everywhere.
어느 중학교 정문앞에 도착했는데,
I arrived at the entrance of a middle school,
마침 학생들이 하교 중이다.
The students were coming out of the school.
필자들에게 환호를 지른다.
지도를 펼쳐 순례이야기를 해주었더니 더욱 좋아한다.
리플렛이 동이 났다.
They shouted at me. I spread the map and explained about pilgrimage. They were delighted.
The leaflets were exhausted.
필자에게 Hanseshwari Temple 사원으로 가는 길을 안내해주는 학생들을 하라상이 찍었다.
Mr. Hara took a picture of the students who led me the way to Hanseshwari Temple.
학생들과 함께 사원에 도착했다.
I arrived at the temple with the sudents.
고대의 사원과 1958년경 새로 지은 사원이 나란히 있다.
Ancient temple, and the modern temple which was built around 1958 were standing side by side.
