서울에서 영문리플렛과 새 신발이 도착했다. 한달넘게 걸렸다. 일주일이내에 도착했던 일본과 태국에 비해 인도는 우편배송의 사정이 좋지 못하다. 지연됨에 따라 받을 곳이 세번이나 바뀌면서 이제야 받은 것이다.
I received new sneakers and English leaflets from Seoul.
It took more than one month for the parcel to come.
In Japan and Thailand, the parcel was delivered within one week.
But in India, the post system was very slow.
Because of the slow delivery, the destination of the parcel was changed three times.
사진의 신발은 자주 애용하던 국산 Trekstar 제품이다.
이 신발은 발바닥이 정교하게 세팅되어 있어서 발에 부담이 적은 반면 다리전체에는 약간 힘이 걸리는 편이다. 인도에서 신어온 Northface 제품은 다리전체의 균형은 잘 잡아주고 있고 신발의 내구성도 좋은 편이나, 발바닥쪽에 약간 둔탁한 느낌이 있다. 두 신발을 번갈아가며 신으면 좋다.e
The sneaker in the picture above is a product of Trekstar which I like.
This sneaker was designed so minutely that burden on feet is minimized.
However, it gives some burden on legs.
The product of Northface which I used in India so far was good at balancing the legs,
and it's durability was very good.
But it gave me some feeling of dullness on sole.
I think it would be better to use both products alternatively.
출발지로 가는 기차역 플랫폼에 앉아 있자니, 상수파이프에서 새어나와 떨어지는 가느다란 물줄기에 몸을 씻고 있는 까마귀류의 새들을 발견했다. 동물도 이렇듯 지혜를 발휘한다.
When I was sitting at platform of the railway station in order to go back to the starting point,
I saw crow-like bird which was cleaning body by using the trickling water from the water-pipe.
The animals rely on creative wisdom to survive.

I could see waste dumping site over the window.
It was located at the center of the village, Gorakhpur.

출발지에 도착하니 안개가 걷혔다. 10시반쯤부터 걷기 시작.
When I arrived at the starting point, the fog was gone.
I started to walk at 10:30 a.m.
허름해보이지만 어엿한 대장간이다.
바퀴를 돌리면 바람이 불기를 끌어올리고 쇠를 녹여 다듬는다.
Though the appearance looks shabby, it is an effective blacksmith in operation.
He turns the wheel which generates wind. The wind builds up fire which melts iron.

마당 한가운데 어울린 가족들이 자주 눈에 띈다.
From time to time, I could see a group of family members gathered together in big yard.
어느 가족 앞에서 그들 중 긴장해있는 아이에게 필자와 함께 가자고 손짓한다.
In front of a family, I waved to a strained child "Let's go together!"

마치 작년 6월에 걸었던 일본 사가현 가라쓰시의 바닷가 숲길이 연상된다.
I passed through a long forest.
The forest road looked like the coastal forest road in Garatsu city of Japan
which I walked at June 2017.

원숭이도 득실거린다.
Monkeys are everywhere.
인도와 같은 평원은 대기층이 움직이지 않고 갇혀 있어서 공기순환이 잘 안되는 편이다.
겨울철에는 안개와 스모그가 유독 심한 이유이기도 하다.
India is a flat land. The atmosphere is stable, and cirulation of air very slow.
That explains why there are frequent fog and smog in winter time.
이런 평원은 숲이 중요하다. 나무가 만드는 산소 뿐아니라 큰 숲이 만드는 온도차와 기압차가 바람을 불러오는 기능을 함으로써 공기순환이 되는 것이다.
In flat land, the forest is very important. Trees generate oxygen and make wind.
The difference of temperature & atmospheric pressure generates wind and air circulation.
나무를 해오는 아낙네 중에는 맨발도 있다.
This woman carries firewood barefoot.
Pharenda 역에 도착했다.
We arrived at Pharenda station.
숙소로 돌아오는 오토릭샤 위에서 길이 밀리고 있는 가운데 현대자동차의 번호판이 눈에 띄었다.
MB로 시작한다. 그러고 보니 요즘 이명박의 구속가능성이 어느때보다 높아지고 있다.
While I was returning to lodging by autoricksha, I found a Hyundai car in the heavy traffic.
The plate number start with MB.
Well, I think that the probability of MB's going to jail is rising up and up these days.
