Chitwan National Park
아침일찍 국립공원으로 갔다.
야생의 동물들로 유명한 곳이다.
이상훈교수는 배탈이 나서 이 구경을 놓쳤다.
We went to Chitwan National Park early in the morning.
This park is a famous place where people can see wild animals.
Professor Sang Hoon Lee missed this tour because of stomachache.
구경을 하는 방법은 차량을 타고 이동하는 방법과 걸어가는 방법 두 가지가 있는데 우리는 후자를 택했다. 하지만 안전을 위한 현지 가이드를 두사람 고용해야 한다. 6천 네팔루피(6만원)

There are two ways to see wild animals, either to walk or to use car.
We selected walking tour.
Then we had to hire two local guides (6,000 Rupee) who will protect us from wild animals.
Total length of tour was 25km.

I saw a peapock near the entrance of the forest.

I saw an animal far away.
이런 숲길을 따라 종일 걸었다.
I followed such road all day long.
야생동물과 마주치는 경우는 거의 없었고, 그들이 인기척을 느끼고 도망가는 장면들은 많이 보았다.
I rarely encountered wild animals.
Rather, when they feel my approach, they ran away.

이런 길만 오롯이 걷기도 쉽지 않다.
It is not easy to walk roads with same appearance for hours.

Some people toured by riding a safari car.

A crocodile was living over the river.
이런 덩치 큰 놈도 있다.
아마도 관람자들을 위해 묶여 있는듯 하다.
This was a big crocodile. I guess he was tied for the tourists.
막바지에 코끼리를 탄 공원관리인 그룹을 만났다.
At the last section, I saw rangers riding on elephants.

At the end of the course, a wild boar appeared.

I took a picture with guides.
호텔로 돌아와서 보니 결혼식이 진행되고 있었다.
When I returned to hotel, a wedding ceremony was going on.
정장차림의 남녀가 행사를 마치고 이동하고 있다.
Well-dressed people were moving after the ceremony.
그러던 중 이 세 여인이 필자에게 어디서 왔느냐고 묻길래 사우스코리아라고 하니 반가워한다.
Three women asked me, "Where are you from?"
I said "South Korea." They greeted us.
다음날 아침 룸비니로 가는 버스를 타러 가는 도중 시내를 활보하는 코끼리를 만났다.
The next day, while we were going to bus stop, we met an elephant strolling in street.
