1. 이번에 인도를 걸으면서 과거의 우리의 사라진 장점이 눈에 보였다.
그것은 학교바깥의 거대한 학교 ㅡ 대가족, 동네어른, 동네형동생, 대자연, 농사일 등 이런 긴밀한 인간과 자연의 환경이 사람을 키운다. 마치 사람을 키우는 데 씨줄과 날줄과 같은 역할을 한다. 우리에게는 언제부터인가 멀어진, 보이지 않는 학교다.
While I walk in India, I realized that one merit of our society disappeared.
In the past, there was another school system at outside of school.
The numerous outside elements such as large family, esteemed elders, cousins, mother nature, and farming interacted with students and provided students with good education. Outside elements constitute warp and weft of traditional education. They played very important roles in educating the students. They were so-called hidden school system, which disappeared recently.

3. 마을의 공동시설인듯 하다. 재미있는 벽화를 그리고 있다.
This seems to be a common facility of the village. They were drawing an interesting wall painting.
4. 쉬는 동안 짜이 한잔. 짜이는 인도의 향신료에 우유를 넣고 끓여서 걸러낸 차다. 모든 인도인이 즐기고 있다. 한잔 7루피(120원).
I ordered a cup of chai while I take a break.
Chai is a kind of tea. They put Indian spices into milk. They filter it after boiling for a while. Then, delicious chai is made. All Indians are enjoying chai. It costs 7 rupee (120 won) a cup.

11. 왕겨는 농가의 자산이다. 보관을 위해 짚으로 가장자리를 덮으면서 쌓고 있다.
The chaff is property of farming house. They cover chaff with rice-straw to protect.
12. 밀밭에 나무가 함께 자라고 있다. 이런 식의 혼합형 농임업이 가능한듯 하다.
Trees are growing together in the wheat field.
This kind of mixture farming seems to be possible.
13. 점심으로 먹은 Dal(콩) 카레와 밀가루 빵 로티. 여기에 복음밥도 추가해서 든든히 먹었다.
I ordered Dal curry which was made of bean, and roti bread which was made of flour.
In addition, I ordered fried rice for plentiful lunch.

This man stopped his car and awaited me for considerable time.

이런 집을 지나칠 때는 일단 멈춘 다음 지긋이 가족을 본다. 그러면 온통 긴장하기 마련이다. 그런후 필자는 가장 조그만 아이에게 부르는 손짓을 한다. '나랑 함께 가자구' 아이는 어리둥절 하다가 금새 알아차리고 울거나 도망가서 엄마뒤로 슴는다. 가족들을 파안대소 하면서 아이를 안고 필자쪽으로 오는 시늉을 한다. 그러면 아이는 필사적으로 저항한다.
그러고는 긴장을 풀고 헤어지는 손을 흔든다~
아주 짧은 동안 생면부지의 사람들끼리 벌이는 '판토마임' 한 토막이다.
I have my own recreation. When I pass by this kind of house, I stop. I glance at the family.
They go in alert mode. Next, I wave to a small child to come with me. I gesture "Come on. Let's go together."
Then the child understands what I am gesturing. Mostly, he cries or hide behind his mother. The family burst into laughters.
Mother embraces the child and gestures to com toward me. Then the child resists in desperation. After a moment, all players of this comedy loosen and wave hands for departure.
This is a strip of pantomime played by strangers for a very brief moment.

Women are working in the field. Men are working for business or fixing houses.

When I approach Rampur city, I could find luxurious hotel and disco bar.
