1. 이틀 휴식후 다시 출발한 Joya라는 동네
After two days' rest, I started again at a small village, Joya.
2. 다가온 학생들
These students approached me.
3. '나그네여 나의 마차를 타게나' 라고 권유하는 인상좋은 아저씨.
필자는 손으로 허벅지를 치면서 웃는다.
A good-looking man asked me to ride his carriage, "Come on!"
I smiled and hit my thigh with my hand just like whipping a horse with a riding crop.
4. 목재소로부터 모아진 톱밥. 토양을 비옥하게 하는 거름으로 그만이다.
This sawdust was collected from timber mill. Sawdust is a good natural fertilizer which makes soil fertile.
5. 트랙터 뒷칸에 아주머니들이 가득하다.
A bunch of women sat at rear space of a tractor.
6. 필자가 웃으며 다가선다. 셀피는 기꺼이 허락한다. 화려한 색깔의 옷이 인상적이다.
I smiled and approached them. They were willing to allow a selfie. The colorful clothes were very impressive.
7. 동네 청년들이 네팔인이냐고 물으며 다가왔다가 코리언인 걸 알고는 놀란다.
그런 후 몇마디만 나누면 금방 친해진다.
The young villagers approached me and asked "Are you a Nepalese?"
They were surprised to find me to be a Korean. After a brief conversation, they become friendly soon.
8. 어디서나 이런 꼬마가 멀리서 나그네를 지켜본다.
When I find a small kid like this picture, the kid keep watching me all the time.
9. 카레의 원료인 울금이 자라고 있다.
The tumeric, which is used as raw material of curry, is growing.
10. 드물게 있는 고급식당에 들어왔다.
I entered a high-class restaurant which is rarely found in this region.
11. 대나무로 짠 벽체. 시원해 보인다.
The wall was made of bamboo, which makes refreshing environment.
12. 맛있는 감자요리를 특유의 밀빵으로 말았다.
This delicious dish was made of potato and bread.
13. 레몬즙으로 볶은 밥이다. 매운 고추를 함께 넣어서 그런지 매콤한 맛도 일품이다.
This rice was fried with lemon juice. They put hot pepper and hot taste was very good,
14. 오랫만에 맛있는 커피를 마셨다. 제대로 끓여낸듯.
I enjoyed a good quality coffee after a long while. I think they boiled coffee properly.

The menu plate carried the picture of this restaurant on the cover page.
A dessert costs 350 rupee (5,000 won).

The students in the school bus are waving to me.
20. 길건너 오토릭샤에 일가족으로 보이는 사람들이 짐을 싣고 타고 있다. 인도다운 풍경이다.
On the other side of the street, a family rode a ricksha and carried their baggages.
This scene represents Indian appearance very well.
21. 잘 사는 동네의 거리에 접어들었다. KFC가게.
I entered into a street of a rich village. I could find KFC.
22. 맞은 편에는 맥도널드와 현대식 의류전문매장이 보인다.
On the opposite side, I found McDonald's and modern clothe store.

24. 이 거리에서 제공하는 낙타를 체험하고 있는 가족들.
This family enjoy riding a camel which was provided by the local government.

27. 도착지 부근의 동네에 만난 사람들. 영어는 잘 몰라도 지도를 보여주고 캘커타에서부터 걸어온 이야기를 하면 찬탄을 한다. 그리고는 히로시마와 후쿠시마의 지명을 거론하면서 지구가 위험하다는 얘기를 하면 금새 동감한다.
I met these people near the finishing point of today's pilgrim. Speaking English was not so fluent, though, they exclaimed with my story about New Silk Road. I show them map and explain my story saying, "I started walking from Calcutta." Then, I talk about Hiroshima and Fukushima in Japan. Finally, I insist that the earth is in danger. They consent immediately.
