1. 출발지 Nilokheri
At the starting point, Nilokheri.
2. 이 도로방향으로 350km쯤 걸어가면 다람살라에 도착한다.
I will arrive at Dharamshala if I walk along this road 350 km.
3. 물없는 관개수로를 자주 본다.
I saw dry waterways frequently.
4. 이 분이 오늘의 주인공이다. 그는 도로휴게소에서 S.KOREA글자가 쓰인 몸자보의 필자를 본 후, 몇분후 걸어가고 있는 필자에게 다가왔다. National Institute Of Design에 속해있는 College의 Nachiketa교수다.
그는 차에서 내려 필자의 이야기를 듣더니 점심을 대접하고 싶다고 한다. 그리하여 5km전방의 그의 학교에 만나기로 했다.
This gentleman is hero of today's pilgrimage.
He saw me carrying body-placard written S. Korea, at roadside rest area.
He approached me. He was a college professor Nachiketa who works at National Institute of Design.
5. 흙으로 축조한 고가도로측면이 남향이면 소똥연료 말리기로는 안성맞춤이다.
The southern slope of overpass which was built by earth is a good place for drying cattle dung.
6. 비교적 큰 저수지에서 어망을 손질하고 있는 청년들.
These young people are repairing fishing net at a relatively large reservoir.
7. 사우스코리아는 요즘 인기가 있다.
These days, S. Korea is welcome everywhere.

10. 인도인이 즐기는 크리켓 경기. 야구와 비슷한데 투수가 공을 던질 때 원바운드시킴으로써 변화를 주는 점이 다르다.
그외에도 규칙이 다른 게 많은데 주로 인도와 파키스탄 등 부근 4개국에서 즐긴다고 한다.
Indian people are enjoying cricket game. Cricket is just like a baseball. When the pitcher throws a ball, he has to bounce the ball once. In addition, some rules are different from the baseball. People of four countries, including India and Pakistan are enjoying cricket.

This is the office of professor Nachiketa.
14. 그는 2012년에 서울에도 가보았다고 한다. 김치도 좋아한다.
He said, I have been to Seoul in 2012. He likes kimchi.
15. 개교한지 3년이 지난 아담한 캠퍼스다. 바깥쪽에는 제2의 캠퍼스를 확장공사를 하고 있다.
His campus was open three years ago.
At the outer space of present campus, they are constructing 2nd campus building.

He majored in textile design. This is his work.
18. 그의 책상에는 전자스케치북이 놓여있다. 필자에게 스케치를 하라기에 마땅한 그림이 생각나지 않아서 'We need anothet UN'이라고 쓰고 싸인을 했다.
On his desk, there was an electric sketchbook. He asked me to try a sketch. I could not think of a proper drawing.
I made a sign, 'We need another UN.'

가운데 여자분은 Design Consultant이고,
우측의 교수는 시네마디자인 전공인데 불교에 대해서도 많은 것을 알고 있었다.
그는 필자에게 왜 불교국가인 미얀마를 경유하지 않았는가 하고 물었는데, 필자는 원래 계획에는 들어 있었지만 정세가 불안정하고 안전문제 때문이라고 답했다.
I ate lunch with his colleagues. The lady in the center is design consultant.
The professor in the right-hand side is majoring in cinema design. He had good knowledge about Buddhism.
He asked me, "Why didn't you pass Myanmar, a buddhist country?"
I answered, "Myanmar was included in my original schedule. But I skipped Myanmar because of unstable political situation and safety problem."
33. 아주 맛있는 점심이었고 즐거운 시간을 보냈다.
The food was good, and I had happy hours.
34. 나오는 길에 중학생들과 마주쳤다.
그들은 멀리서부터 마주보고 걸어와서 나그네를 보자 환호성을 지르면서 안성맞춤의 폼을 잡았다.
On my way out of the college, I met middle-school student.
They saw me far away. They approached me, a traveler, and shouted with joy. They made a good pose for picture.
35. 묘목모종이다. 이들을 묘목밭에 옮겨심으면 나무로 자란다.
Seedlings. They are implanted to seedling field. They will grow and become trees.
36. 이 동네는 디자인을 잘하는 동네다. 벽화가 눈을 즐겁게 한다.
People in this village are very good at wall painting. I enjoyed beautiful wall paintings.
