1. 출발지이자 이틀을 묵은 호텔
I stayed at this hotel for two days.
2. 10차선 대로변 건너 스마트한 건물이 보인다. 간판이 힌두어로만 되어 있다.
At the other side of ten-lane road, there is a smart building. The signboard was written in Hindu characters.
3. 큰 길에서 필자를 보고는 가던 길을 멈추고 기다린 엔지니어. 그는 한국의 기업들을 거론하면서 엄지를 치켜세웠다.
An engineer saw me walking along a large street. He stopped and waited for me. He talked about Korean companies in India, and he thumbed up.
4. 멀리 울창한 조림숲이 보인다.
I could see trees afforested far away.
5. 여기서도 벽돌공장이 보인다.
I could find another brick factory.
6. 이처럼 벽돌사이에 공기층을 만들어 불을 때워서 굽는다.
They make air space between brick walls, and made a fire in the space.
7. 점심으로 먹은 Thali. 인도의 카레들 뿐아니라 볶음밥이 곁들여져 나오기에 자주 먹는 편이다.
I ate Thali, which included Indian curry and fried rice. I order Thali frequently.
8. 이분은 은행원이다. 큰 길에서 필자를 보고 갓길에 주차한 후 한참을 기다렸다.
This gentleman is a bank clerk. He saw me in the street. He parked his car in the side road, and waited for me.
9. 헤어지면서.
At the time of departure.
10. 지방법원 건물이다.
This building is local court house.
11. 양봉을 하고 있는 농장이다.
In this farm, the owner is raising bees.
12. 입구에서 팔고 있는 작은 꿀을 한 병 샀다. Sheesham이라는 인도특유의 작물에 서식하는 벌들이 모은 꿀이다. 과연 독특한 향이 난다. 값이 싸다. 250ml에 100루피(1600원)
At the entrance of the farm, there was a store. I bought a small bottle of honey. The honey was collected by bees which live on Sheesham, a plant which is found only in India.
저녁에 숙소에 와서 예전에 일본을 걸을 때 만났던 젊은이가 필자에게 준 장백산(백두산)산삼가루와 함께 타서 먹었다. 몸 보신이 되는 느낌이다. 그의 기록을 찾아보니 야마구치에서 야고로 도너츠가게를 운영하는 松永隼人(Matsunaga Hayato) 라는 젊은이다.
그가 준 산삼은 효능이 있다. 그에게 다시 한번 감사드린다~
In the evening I came back to my shelter. I mixed the honey with wild ginseng powder which a young man gave to me while I was walking in Japan. The ginseng came from Baekdu mountain. I felt getting energized. I looked up an old pilgrimage diary. The young Japanese was Matsunaga Hayato who was running yagoro doughnut store at Yamaguchi. The wild ginseng he gave me was very effective in energizing me. I would like to express my thanks to him again.
