터키의 수도 앙카라에서 보낸 뜻깊은 기록이다.
This is meaningful diary at Ankara, the capital city of Turkey.
1. 고원지대 앙카라의 서늘한 여름 아침이다.
1. In the morning, the weather was cool at Ankara which is located at high altitude.
2. 월요일 아침 일찍 1km 거리의 치과로 간다. 필자뿐 아니라 일행중 환자가 또 한 사람 있다.
2. It was Monday morning. I went to the dentist, 1 km away. Jennie also had toothache.
3. 도중에 만난 야채과일가게.
3. A grocery store.
4. 치과 '종합병원'이라고 해도 좋을 만큼 큰 병원에 아침부터 사람이 많았다. 하지만 멀리서 온 외국인이라고 곧바로 특진이다. 의사선생님은 진단하더니 좀더 치료를 하라면서 지난번 에르진잔의 치과의사와 동일한 처방전을 내린다.

4. The hospital was very large and there were lots of people from early morning. However, since I was a foreigner I could see the dentist without waiting in line. The doctor investigated my tooth and prescribed the same medicine as the doctore in Erzincan. I took a selfie with the dentist. The dentists in Turkey are dandy.

10. 여기서도 흑요석(obsidian)이 중요한 전시물이다.
가공이 쉽고 예리한 날을 갖고 있는 이 돌은 쓰임새가 커서 석기시대의 중요한 도구다. 칼뿐 아니라 화살도 창도 이 돌에서부터 시작되었다. 지구촌 전역에서 발견된다.
10. Obsidian is a very important exhibit. This stone is easy to cut. The sharp edge is versatile in use. This a very important tool in Stone Age. Knife, arrow, spear are all originated from obsidian. It is found all over the world.
11. 하지만 그 산지는 많지 않았던듯. 이 돌을 구하러 1000km를 이동한 흔적이 있다는 학계의 보고가 있을 정도로 귀중한 돌이다.
흔히 '석기시대가 끝난 것은 돌이 없어서가 아니다'라는 얘기가 있는데, 그 얘기가 진실이 아닐 수도 있다.
11. However, this stone was produced at limited areas.
There was an academic report that people moved 1000 km in order to find this stone.
It is frequently quoted that lack of obsidian introduced Bronze Age.
It may not be true. New technology put an end to Stone Age.

19. 이 분(Songül Düger )은 미국에서 공부한 적이 있는 문화해설사로서 탈핵에 깊은 관심을 갖고 있다.
많은 얘기를 나누던 중 필자에게 왜 이슬람교 지도자는 만나지 않느냐는 질문을 한다. 필자는 여러 노력은 했지만 아직 지도자를 소개받지 못했다면서 그녀에게 추천을 부탁했다.
기실 필자는 순례 출발전 한국 이슬람사원(수니파)과 이란대사관(시아파)를 여러 차례 방문하였지만, 소기의 인연을 만나지 못했던 터이다.
감사하게도 그녀는 곧바로 필자에게 터키에 계신 이슬람교 리더를 소개하는 메일을 보내주었다.
좋은 인연이 될 것 같다.
19. The name of this lady was Songül Düger. She studied in America and now she works as cultural guide.
She is very much interested in No-Nukes movement. While I talked with her, she asked me "Why don't you meet Islamic leader?" I told her that I tried, but I failed so far. I asked her to recommend. To tell the truth, I visited Korean Islamic mosque (Suni sect) and Embassy of Iran (Sia sect) several times without any success. She wrote me an E-mail to introduce an Islamic leader she knows. She will play an important role in relation with Islam.

22. 고색창연한 분위기가 나는 어느 식당을 만났다.
22. I found a restaurant with antiqued atmosphere.

24. 여기서 간단하면서도 맛있는 옛 스타일의 식사를 했는데,
그 사이 무심거사로부터 팜플렛을 받은 주인이 그걸 읽고 감명받았는지 식당의 창문에 붙여놓았다. 인상좋은 주인과 셀피.
24. We enjoyed traditional lunch menu. Prof. Lee gave a pamphlet to the owner of the restaurant.
He was so moved by our pilgrimage that he pasted the pamphlet on the window.

45. A group of Korean school boys came to the park. They were from several places in Korea.
They were 3rd graders of middle school and 1st graders of highschool. I was proud of them.
I introduced New Silk Road and took a selfie with them.

48. 저녁시간에는 숙소부근의 앙카라대학교 법과대학 정문의 전통식당에 갔다.
48. In the evening, I went to a traditional restaurant in front of entrance gate to College of Law, Ankara University.
49. 저렴한 값에 푸짐한 떡갈비를 먹었다. 이렇게 먹고도 30리라(6천)가 채 안된다.
49. We ate delicious Korean dishes with reasonable price. It cost me 30 lila (6000 won).
