6. The waiter of Moderna Hotel was very kind and spoke fluent English. A selfie with him.
7. 짐을 날라줄 기사도 함께. 그는 450데나르(약9천원)에 차도로18km에 있는 다음의 호텔에 갖다 놓기로 했지만 필자는 500데나르를 주었다.
7. I took selfie with the driver who carried my baggage to next hotel, 18 km apart. He asked 450 denari (9,000 Korean won) but I gave him 500 denari.
8. 9시반부터 걷기 시작한다. 어제와는 달리 코스도 평범하고, 구름이 잔뜩 낀 추운 날씨다.
8. I started to walk from 9:30. Today's course was different from yesterday's course. It was an ordinary road, and the weather was cloudy and chilly.

10. 하루종일 이런 길이다. 이 나라는 면적이 작은 편이지만 인구도 작아서 인구밀도가 그리스보다 낮다. 우리의 1/6쯤 된다. 산악지형을 감안하더라도 아주 낮은 편이다. 인구밀도가 낮으면 대중교통이 발달하기 어렵다. 사업성이 없어서 공공보조를 받는 나라가 많다. 그래서인지 이 나라는 버스 구경하기도 힘들다. 한국의 가주지(可住地)인구밀도는 아마도 세계적으로 높을 것이다. 그래서 대중교통이 장사가 잘된다.
10. This type of road continued for a whole day. This country is small in width. And the population is also small. The population density of this country is smaller than Greece, and 1/6 of Korea. Considering the mountainous terrain. When the population density is low, it is hard to develop public transportation. The profitability of public transportation is not assured, and the government has to pay subsidy. For that reason, I could not see bus in this country. The Korean population density of habitable land may be ranked high in the world. That is why public transportation system makes profit in Korea.
11. 개별교통으로 다닐 수밖에 없는 것은 기후위기시대에 별로 바람직하지 못하다. 원래 기후위기시대가 아닌 경우에도 가급적 조밀하게 사는 게 좋다. 도시의 유지관리비가 줄고 경제활동에도 좋다. 거기에 탄소배출도 줄이고 걷기도 좋은 것이 압축도시(Compact City)다.
11. Priviate transportation is not desirable in the era of climate change crisis. Regardless of climate crisis, it is better for people to live in compact system. In case of compact city, the maintenance cost is low, and CO2 is reduced. Compact city is good for walking and economic activities.
12. 우리가 수도권에 너무 몰려산다고 아우성들이지만, 한강수계의 가용수자원이 다른 강들보다 압도적으로 많다는 점도 있거니와, 기후위기시대에는 오히려 바람직한 면이 있다. 다른 문법으로 세상을 볼 때가 되었다. 필자가 이름 붙이는 것이긴 하지만 '기후위기시대의 문법'
12. Sometimes, we complain about the huge size of metropolitan area in Korea. But there is advantage for Koreans to live in Han River watershed which supply enough water, in the era of climate crisis. It is necessary for us to see the world in different grammar. I though of a new name 'grammar in climate crisis era.'

20. 목적지 마을 쪽으로 접어든다. 자갈이 없는 이런 점토질의 흙길은 오랫만이다. 걷기에 쿠션이 좋다.
20. I am approaching destination village. I see this kind of heavy soil without any gravels after a long while. It's like a sponge having cushion, which is good for walking.

22. I went to a gourmet restaurant which was recommended by Google Map. I took a selfie with the people whom I got acquainted with.
23. 이 테이블의 오른쪽 두번째 분은 필자에게 술을 권했다. 필자가 사양하니까 원래 안 마시는가 하고 묻는다. 필자는 바티칸 도착한 후에는 다시 마실 거라고 했다.
23. The gentleman sitting second from far right proposed me drinking alcohol. I refused courteously. He asked me If I do not drink at all. I answered that I am going to drink after I reach Vatican.

26. 기차의 정보를 알기 위해 철도역에 왔지만 문이 잠겨있다. 열차시간표도 없는 것을 보니 지난번 본 여객열차는 일상적인 것이 아닌 듯하다. 물류철도는 활성화되어 있지만 국내의 여객철도는 활성화되지 않다. 이것 역시 인구밀도도 한몫하는듯.
26. I went to railway station to find out information about train. The door is locked. There seems to be no time table of train. I think the train I saw last time was not a regular train. Railway for freight is operating actively, but railway for passengers is not. This may be explained by population density.
27. 오후3시반쯤 숙소에 도착하니 지붕의 태양광이 눈에 들어온다.
27. I reached the shelter around 3:30 in the afternoon. The solar panels on the roof catch my eyes.
