1. 표지사진은, 필자가 '보행시대'의 슬로건을 떠올리기 시작했던 어느 주택가의 눈덮힌 보도의 장면
The cover photo shows a snowy sidewalk in a residential area where I started to recall the slogan of 'walking age'.
2. 오늘은 국경으로 가는 직선코스 23km. 출발지와 도착지의 이름이 비슷하다.
Today, I walk 23km straight course to the border. The name of the departure and destination is similar.
3. 9시너머 출발지인 지하철 종점 Slivnitsa역앞에서.
The departing point is the last subway station Slivinitsa. It is slightly over 9:00 am.
4. 눈녹은 길을 걷기 시작한다.
I start walking on the road of snow melted.
5. 유럽대륙으로 통하는 물류의 길목이어서 큰 기업들이 많이 보인다.
There are many big companies because it is a way for logistics to Europe.

7. 어느덧 주택가로 접어든다.
I walk through the residential area.
8. 차도의 한쪽에 넓은 보도를 둔 주택가의 길. 눈이 쌓인 상태에서 사람 다니는 폭만큼만 눈이 치워져 있다. 가느다란 길이 연결되어 있는 이 장면에서 필자는 어떤 생각이 떠 올랐다.
이런 연결이 지구촌 전체로 이어질 수 있다면 좋겠다는..
It is a residential road with a wide sidewalk on one side of the driveway.
There is a narrow snow-cleared path that only one person can only walk.
I have an idea in this scene where the narrow path is connected.
I wish this connection could lead to the whole world.
9. 예전에 '대항해시대'라는 것이 있었다. 유럽이 지구촌의 변화를 이끈 아이콘이다. 지금 지구촌이 위기를 맞아 변신해야 하는 시점에 내걸만한 슬로건으로 '보행시대'가 어떨까.
'산티아고'와 같은 길이 지구촌에 많다. 일테면 제주도 '올레길', 일본의 나라지방에는 '역사의길'(歴史の道).
이번에 유럽을 걸으면서 '팍스로마나'의 길이나 '알렉산더'와 연관된 길이나, 이천년전 '동방박사'의 길 같은 역사적 의미를 부여할 수 있는 길들이 생각난다.
또 필자는 인도를 걸을 때 '부처님이 왕래했을 것이라 짐작되는 길'을 일부러 찾아서 걸은 적이 있었다.
There was a time when the Age of Grand Navigation (also called the Age of Grand Discovery) was the icon that led to the change of the global village. What about the 'walking era' as a slogan that will be put on the time when the global village should be transformed in crisis?
There are many roads around the world such as "Santiago": "Olegil" in Jeju Island, and "Road of History" in the Nara region of Japan (History Road).
While walking through Europe this time, I think of the paths related to 'Pax Romana' or road related with 'The Great Alexander', or the path that can give historical meanings such as 'Dr. East' 2,000 years ago.
While walking in India, I also walked purposely a way that Buddha would had come and gone.
10. 그런 거창한 길뿐 아니라 동네마다 의미를 부여할 수 있는 길들이 있다. 일본에서는 아카마길과 도자기주제의 길을 즐겁게 걸었던 기억이 난다.
그런 길은 누구라도 즐겁게 걸을 수 있다.
보행이 활성화되면 그 자체로 기후위기에 직접적인 기여가 크다. 보행길 정비와 유지관리는 동네의 고용을 창출하고 지역의 사회적 분위기를 고양시킨다. 안전해진다. 건강해진다.
그리고 실행이 쉽다. 큰 돈 들지 않는다.
생각과 관심의 문제다.
There are ways to give meaning in each neighborhood as well as such a great road.
In Japan, I remember walking the road of Akamagil and ceramics theme road happily.
Anyone can walk on that road.
When walking is activated, it is in itself a direct contribution to the climate crisis.
Walking road maintenance and maintenance create employment in the neighborhood and enhance the social atmosphere of the region.
Be safe. Be healthy.
And it’s easy to do, not to pay a lot.
It’s a matter of thought and interest.
11. 대항해시대를 연 것이 나침반과 항해기술이었다면, 지금은 손안에 GPS를 갖고다니는 스마트폰이 있다.
보행시대의 기술로는 손색이 없다.
지구촌 전체가 그런 분위기로 간다면 '대 보행시대'를 열 수 있을 것이다.
'슬로건'이라는 것은 이럴 때 쓸 만하다.
If it was compass and navigation technology that opened the Age of Grand Navigation, now there is a smartphone with GPS carried in hands. Smartphone is a sufficient technology in 'Walking era'.
If the whole world goes to such an atmosphere, it will be able to open the 'walking era'.
The 'slogan' is useful in this way.

You can also meet this wonderful design while walking.
14. 이렇게 유유자적하게
In this way, I walk with time.

There is a view that can only be seen when you walk.

18. 국경이 수십키로 남아 있지만 미리 통관을 기다리게 하는 구간의 하나인듯 하다.

I arrived at the destination. It is about 4:00 pm.

A selfie with a boy met at the station.
29. 숙소가 있는 소피아중앙역으로 돌아가는 기차안. 내일은 소피아를 떠나 국경쪽으로 짐까지 옮긴다.
In a train running back to Sophia Central Station, where the hostel is. Tomorrow, I leave Sophia and move my baggage to the border.
