さて、祈願文を捧げる。
<바티칸 도착 후 기원문>
멀고도 힘겨운 여정 이었습니다. 그러나 인류를 비롯한 온 생명의 안전을 추구하는 일이기에 한 걸음 한 걸음 마다 희망을 담았습니다.
생명탈핵순례단은 5년전 2017년 5월에 서울을 출발하여 26개국 8200km를 걸어서 2022년 8월에 바티칸에 당도하였습니다.
우선 그동안 성원해주신 모든 분들께 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.
지금 우크라이나 자포리자 원전의 위험에서 보듯이 인류는 위기 속에 살고 있습니다. 위기를 극복하려는 노력은 아직 일천합니다. 핵전쟁 위험 후 유엔이 결성되었지만 핵발전소사고에 대응하는 국제적인 노력은 미흡하기 짝이 없습니다.
인류의 자구능력을 발휘할 수 있는 의사결정체제가 필요합니다. 국가권력의 집합체로는 지금 러시아가 일으킨 야만적 전쟁조차 막지 못하는 것이 지구촌현실입니다.
인과응보라 했습니다. 지구는 그동안 인류가 자행한 악행으로 더 이상 뭇 생명의 터전이기를 거부합니다.
평화를 갈망하는 민중적 에너지의 결집이 필요하고, 민중이 의지하고 있는 종교계의 힘이 필요하고 그 연대의 힘이 필요한 시기입니다.
세계적인 종교지도자들의 힘을 빌리고자 출발한 여정입니다. 그동안 걸어오면서 불교 달라이라마 존자를 뵙고 정교회 바르톨로메오스 세계총대주교를 알현하면서 귀중한 말씀을 들었습니다.
그리고 저희의 그러한 바램을 전달하였습니다.
가톨릭 프란치스코 교황을 뵙고 소중한 말씀을 듣고 저희의 취지를 전달하기를 희망합니다.

<Prayer after Arrival at the Vatican>
It was a long and difficult journey. I put hope in every step of the way, however, because every step was to aspire the safety of global life including the humans. Five years ago, Life & No-Nuke pilgrims departed from Seoul in May 2017 and reached the Vatican in August 2022 by walking 8,200 km through 26 countries.
First of all, I would like to express my thanks to everyone who have supported me so far.
The mankind is living under crisis, as seen in dangerous situation of Ukraine's Zaporiza nuclear power plant. Efforts to overcome the crisis are still insignificant. Although the United Nations was formed after significant risk of nuclear war, international efforts to respond to nuclear power plant accidents are not worthy of notice.
We need a new decision-making system that can exercise human self-restoring capability. The reality of present global community proves that collective system of national powers cannot prevent even the barbaric war which Russia started. ‘Cause and effect’ works all the time. The Earth refuses to be the home of many lives anymore due to the evil deeds committed by mankind for a long time. It's a time when we need to rally energy of the people who yearn for peace. We need the power of religious community which the people rely on. We need the power of solidarity.
It's a journey that we set out to lend the power of respectful religious leaders. In the meantime of pilgrimage, I heard valuable words from His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Buddhism and His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Orthodox Church. And I delivered our wishes for the safety and peace of the Earth and mankind.
I hope to meet His Holiness Pope Francis. I want to deliver our hope which was carried by walking for five years. I hope sincerely to listen to precious words of His Holiness Pope Francis.

「バチカン到着後の祈願文」
厳しくも、遠い道程でありました。しかし、人類を始めとするすべての生命の安全を求めることであったので、一足、一足、歩くたびに願いを込めました。
生命・脱核巡礼団は5年前、2017年5月にソウルを出発して26カ国、8,200kmを歩き、2022年8月にバチカンに到達しました。まず、この間応援してくれた全ての皆様に感謝の言葉を伝えます。
現在、危険な状況にさらされているウクライナのジャポリジャ原発を見て分かるように、人類は危機的状況の中で過ごしています。核危機を克服する努力はまだ始まったばかりです。
核戦争の脅威の中で国連は結成されましたが、原発事故に対する国際的努力は未だ不十分極まりないと言わざるを得ません。
人類の自己能力を発揮できる意思決定体制が必要です。国家権力の集合体では、現在ロシアが引き起こしている野蛮的戦争さえも止めることが出来ないのが、この地球村の現実です。
因果応報と言います。地球は、これまで人類が勝手気ままにしてきた悪行のため、これ以上生命の拠り所であることを拒否しています。
平和を渇望する民衆のエネルギーの結集が必要で、民衆が頼る宗教の力が必要で、その連帯の力が必要な時です。
世界的な宗教指導者の力を借りるために出発した旅でありました。この間、仏教のダライ・ラマ法王に会い、正教会のヴァルソロメオス総大主教を謁見し、貴重なお言葉を聞きました。
そして、そのような私たちの願いを伝えました。
カトリックのフランシスコ教皇にお会いし、大切なお話を聞き、また私たちの趣旨を伝えようと希望しています。
