영화 표현 익히기 : Your place or mine

 

# Scene 1

: I’m about to ~ [ ~ 하려던 참이에요 / ~ 예정이에요 ]

           

1. 직장을 시작할 예정이라, 요즘 많이 준비하고 있어요

I’m about to start a new job, so I’ve been preparing a lot these days.

 

2. 사무실을 나가야 해서, 이메일을 빨리 끝내야 해요

I’m about to leave the office, so I need to finish this email quickly.

 

3. 아파트로 이사할 예정이라, 집이 지금 너무 어질러져 있어요.

I’m about to move to a new apartment,

which is why my house is so messy right now.

I’m about to move to a new apartment,

which is why my house is so messy right now.

 

시간 때마다 짐을 싸고 있지만, 여전히 끝이 보이지 않아요.

I’ve been packing whenever I can, but it still feels never-ending.    

                                                                                

사방에 상자가 널려 있고, 자꾸 물건을 잃어버려요.

There are boxes everywhere, and I keep losing stuff.

 

하지만 끝날 거예요!

It should be over soon though!                                                                                 

 

동네가 정말 마음에 들어서 이사가 기대가 돼요.

I’m excited about the move

because I really like the new neighborhood.

If you want to lose weight, it’s important to get enough sleep.

 

3. 다시 살찌고 싶지 않다면, 단것을 줄이는 중요해요.

If you don’t want to get fat again, it’s important to cut down on sweets.

Q : You are trying to avoid yo-yo effect,

but it is somewhat hard.

 

A : 작년에 10kg 뺐는데, 살이 쪘어요.

I lost 10kg last year, but I have gained some weight.  

                                                                

다시 살찌고 싶지 않다면, 단것을 줄이는 중요해요.

If you don’t want to get fat again,

it’s important to cut down on sweets.

 

사실 요요현상을 피하기는 어려워요.

Actually, it is hard to avoid yo-yo effect.                                                                           

 

그래서 아침에 일어나자 마자 공복에 조깅을 해요.

So I go jogging first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

 

그게 저에게 맞는 운동인 같아요.

It’s like a perfect exercise for me.

I told you not to drink anything cold.   

It seems like you’ve lost your voice.

토요일에 친구 결혼식에서 노래 부르기로 되어있잖아요.

You are supposed to sing at your friend’s wedding on Saturday.

 

뜨거운 생강차 마시고 충분히 자는 어때요?

Why don’t you drink hot ginger tea and get enough sleep?     

                                                                                 

효과가 있을 거예요.
