Professors have chosen "自欺欺人“(lying to oneself and to others) as a 2007 key word. There were lots of hot issues which have series of scandals involving fake degrees, corruption and groundless allegations.
professors explain that the saying best describes a series of corruption and degree-forgery candals that have made headline this year. "forging degrees , plagiarizing theses and the moral insensitivity of politicians and big corporations have shaken up Korean society for the past full year. People's greed is responsible for this" he added.
"people's frequent lies have put them in such a messy situation where they are entrapped in their own lies, and even deceive themselves."
