The Morning After Returning Home
June 10, 2026 – Wednesday Morning
The day after returning home from the Moscow seminar in Russia.
Early in the morning, I went to the track, loosened up my body, and did a few short sprints. I could still feel a little fatigue from the trip, but I was quite pleased to discover that my body is still holding up rather well. 😄
After finishing my workout, I returned home and sat by the window with a cup of morning coffee.
Beyond the coffee cup, I could see the beautiful sea of Oryukdo and the green plants inside my home.
It is a view I see every day, yet after being away for several days, it felt especially warm, familiar, and comforting.
As I sat there, the faces of many people I had spent time with over the past few days began to pass through my mind one by one.
The hours spent repeating basic movements. The moments of Weisu Kyeokgeom(외수격검) training, checking and feeling each other's center, explaining on the importance of Elbow's position in Weisu training, the one of keeping Balance & Harmony of Energy and Break other's Balance.
The expressions of those who experienced changes in both body and mind through Kimu training.
The traditional ice cream I enjoyed on a hot sunny afternoon while sightseeing in Moscow.
The historic paid restroom that surprised me with its 250-ruble entrance fee. 😄
And even the moment I stood at the famous place where people make wishes, quietly reflecting on the hopes and dreams carried in people's hearts.
Looking back, all of these memories have become precious parts of the Moscow seminar.
In the end, people learn through people.
And people grow through people.
I traveled there to teach swordsmanship, but when I reflect upon the journey, I realize that I taught far more than sword techniques alone.
I shared ideas about the body and mind, and about the invisible flow of nature.
Yet through conversations, encounters, and time spent together, I also learned a great deal from others.
Standing at the place where people make wishes, I found myself thinking:
Everyone carries dreams and hopes within their heart.
But perhaps some wishes are not granted simply by making them.
Perhaps they are fulfilled through our daily words, actions, and continuous effort.
Martial arts training is no different.
The seminar may have ended, but the relationships and experiences created there will continue to live on in each person's life.
As I ran around the track this morning, I was reminded once again that what I teach is not merely swordsmanship.
It is a path that helps people better understand themselves and live healthier, happier, and more meaningful lives.
And because there are students and friends from many countries walking this path together, I am already preparing for my next journey—the seminar in the Netherlands next month.
I went there to teach the sword.
But I met people.
I ate ice cream.
I made a wish.
And I returned home having learned many things once again.
With a cup of coffee in hand,

Утро после возвращения домой

На следующий день после возвращения домой с семинара в Москве.
Рано утром я отправился на стадион, немного размялся и сделал несколько ускорений. После поездки чувствовалась небольшая усталость, но я с удовлетворением отметил, что моё тело всё ещё находится в хорошей форме. 😊
После тренировки я вернулся домой и сел у окна с чашкой утреннего кофе.
За чашкой открывался знакомый вид на море Орынюкдо и зелёные растения в доме.
Я вижу этот пейзаж каждый день, но после нескольких дней отсутствия он показался мне особенно тёплым, родным и спокойным.
И вдруг перед глазами начали всплывать лица многих людей, с которыми я провёл последние несколько дней.
Время, проведённое за повторением базовых движений.
Моменты тренировки по Оесу Гёкком, когда мы чувствовали и проверяли центр друг друга.
Лица людей, переживавших изменения в теле и сознании во время практики Киму.
Традиционное мороженое из ГУМа, которое я с удовольствием съел в жаркий солнечный день во время прогулки по Москве.
Исторический платный туалет, который удивил меня своей ценой в 250 рублей. 😄
И место, где люди загадывают желания, где я ненадолго остановился и задумался о надеждах и мечтах, которые каждый человек хранит в своём сердце.
Теперь я понимаю, что всё это стало частью драгоценных воспоминаний о московском семинаре.
В конечном счёте люди учатся через людей.
И люди растут благодаря людям.
Я приехал, чтобы преподавать искусство меча, но, оглядываясь назад, понимаю, что делился не только техникой.
Мы говорили о теле и разуме, о невидимом потоке природы.
Но благодаря встречам, разговорам и общению я сам многому научился у других.
Стоя в месте, где люди загадывают желания, я подумал:
У каждого человека есть свои мечты и надежды.
Но некоторые желания исполняются не потому, что мы их загадали.
Они исполняются благодаря нашим словам, поступкам и постоянным усилиям.
То же самое относится и к пути боевых искусств.
Семинар закончился, но отношения и опыт, которые мы создали вместе, продолжают жить в жизни каждого человека.
Пробегая сегодня утром по стадиону, я снова почувствовал:
То, чему я учу, — это не просто искусство владения мечом.
Это путь к пониманию самого себя, к здоровой, счастливой и осмысленной жизни.
И благодаря тому, что рядом идут ученики и друзья из разных стран мира, я уже готовлюсь к следующему путешествию — семинару в Нидерландах в следующем месяце.
Я приехал учить мечу.
Но встретил замечательных людей.
Съел мороженое.
Загадал желание.
И снова вернулся домой, многому научившись.
С чашкой кофе в руках
и с сердцем, наполненным благодарностью.
