Shimoda - slept a lot (morning, lunch, night), worked, lounged, ate, walked because there wasn't really much to do around a small aging town. So it was a time I caught up on sleep and rest.
 
The city was old and simple like maybe more of the aging population. The beach's neighborhood -  very hmmmm province-like, sort of run-down? Maybe because it is th lean season.

SHIMODA - it was always a dream of mine to go here because it is the family's only connection to Japan 😊 , the word, the name. I was supposed to get the cheaper train but I would have waited an hour for the train at yokohama station haha, so I got the limited one. i'll need to reload before I exit

after washing and thinking about it, i'm saying goodbye and thank you to this beige puffer, i'm so glad I found you thrifting and it's a little easy to let you go because you aren't expensive. I would have taken you home if you weren't so bulky. I hope someone would make good use of you and would appreciate wearing you the way I did. Thank you for keeping me warm and dry thru the rain, wind and snow. Be happy with a new owner okay? I left a note on it too

18 - from Haneda travel to Shimoda and stay 4 or 5 nights? Then somewhere in yokohama/kamakura/yokosuka 4 nights? Then Chiba 4 nights? because it's cheaper than tokyo???

I got myself a little souvenir from the star fortress. Because it's a star, of course. Why yellow? There was blue, green, purple and pink. I chose yellow because usually when we draw/color stars, we make them yellow. The star fortress has 5 points but there is another point, that makes it 6 points 😊 I got pink for ate too, we both wanted black but there wasnt any black

A little boy came up to me after coming out of a 7/11, spoke in japanese. I said I didn't know nihonggo and he really wasn't leaving my side. So we used papago. He said he was lost and I asked him where he wanted to go, he said home. Since I didnt know where he lives and he doesnt know too, I dont know why. He also asked the 7/11 staff about his location. I didnt know how to help him even if i wanted to. There was an old man shoveling snow on the street and I asked the boy if he wanted to ask the man. We went to the old man and asked for help. They talked and I did the thumbs up sign like questioning if he's good, then he said thank you. The old man left his shoveling and assisted the boy. How did you get to where you were good-looking little boy? Did you just escape from home to buy something? He was holding 2 small colorful boxes with him. I really wasn't sure how he doesn't know where he was, how he got there or where his home is. There were 2 voice translations that said "i'm a prince." haha! So for the third time, I asked him to say it one more time, then the translation said "i'm lost."

Getting too comfy today by going out wearing sweatpants hahaha, how warm will this heattech sweatpants be? Is it gonna be torture without additional thermals underneath? 😬😆

Staying in the older building side, since it is an economy room compared to their more modern building 😁 but I have free breakfasts and access to the sauna, yes not an onsen but a sauna and free use of laundry machine and a bathtub haha! And I can finally do little workouts because I have space. I was worried I was gonna lose my butt 🤣 because I haven't been eating much. But I remembered my butt is naturally there, so I don't need to worry 😆 and I missed tv lol! this afternoon til tonight is gonna be and bathtub and cook then movie/tv series night because I have my flash drive and my back hurts

The Chenobi Show continues, but in a more comfy room, not a coffin.

They have loungewear too! like the hotel in matsumoto

Tomorrow and monday will be larga day because i just spent a freakin lot on that train ride

I am still a backpack female but I thank my luggage for times that I wait in terminals or stops and there is nowhere to sit. I sit on my luggage like a child 😆

Did I just get hit on by an old man during dinner? 😆 It felt like it, even if I didn't understand him 😆 that big (drinking alcohol) smile he gave me (was the same evil smile I saw in my bad dream about getting molested) when he said something in nihonggo sure felt like it 😆. The lady he was with was laughing after he came up to me. I asked the wait staff who served me in english what the guy said and the young man was just delaying haha, he didn't want to tell me so I feel like it was something nasty or inappropriate. He said the accent was thick etc hahahaha he really didn't want to tell me. I was just laughing 😆

Walking, walking, while everyone else was checking in or out at the onsens.

No warm shoes? hot packs on feet because I want to wear sneakers, not my sneaker boots. Wait, I need to put it on top of my toes, right? not under my feet? I'll see later haha. Waiting for the bus to the onsen town. Hostel staff said tattoos are allowed, but, nope, haha, I won't pay for a private one because it'll be expensive hahaha and nope, I'm not comfy being nekkid in public 😆. I would rather watch and pay for the ninja/samurai show, maybe. - No I didn't go haha, I mean, I want to but the ticket price is 3000. Sooooo meh, I'll just use the 3k for food and fare to Hakodate, which is 6k hahaha. And I still need to book a hotel and my flight to tokyo. Again, I'll be the shinobi today

But first laundry, the shinobi needed to do laundry first while I see a washer/dryer haha! Because I am not sure if the next hotel will have a laundry area. And after asking the hotel staff about their local soft serve ice cream, which was unavailable because the machine is out of order, she gave me a chocolate ☺️. Dio/Di Oh haha dont know how to spell her name, gave me another chocolate 😊
