I got back today from a kayaking trip😊 But I got back later than I expected, so I’ll just tell you about the trip, and I’ll get back to the collages on The Wonderfools next week... This will be a short post🙃 But today I also have a short poem that I hope you’ll like😀 I wrote it a few days ago, but I had the idea even earlier. But more on that at the end😊
The weather wasn’t great, but it had been raining on and off lately, so we didn’t cancel the trip☂️☔ But we did get wet a few times…💦
I didn’t take many photos, but I did take a picture of a rainbow🌈 The first photo at the top shows the entire rainbow, a full arc😍 There’s a streetlight in the middle, and it looks a bit like there are two photos😅 But it was raining, and we were standing under a roof waiting for it to stop☔ The other two photos of the rainbow are of the same rainbow, but I took close-ups when it was most visible and when the sky was clearing up🥰 In the middle is a little bird we passed while walking to the lake😯 And the last photo at the bottom was taken near our cottages🏘️ and that’s where we had a barbecue (under a roof with lights)🥓🥩 I added a sausage I was eating to the photo😅 I didn’t post the whole picture of my plate because it wasn’t my first sausage and the plate was already dirty🫣 So I cropped out the sausage I hadn’t started eating yet😁 I ate it with ketchup, garlic sauce, and bread😋 But we also had grilled pork neck, grilled vegetables and mushrooms, and non-grilled items: salads, chips, nuts, etc.😋 I drank beer🍺 but some people also drank vodka. If the photo hasn’t lost any quality, you can see various things on the tables😊
We spent most of Friday evening here, but we also went to the lake to watch the sunset😍
I took the two photos at the top a little earlier (a moment later it started raining and there was a rainbow), but I added them to this collage😊 It wasn’t raining in the evening; there were some clouds, and the setting sun gave the clouds beautiful colors🥰 On the way, we stopped at a bar, had some drinks🍸 and danced a bit💃🪩🕺
And today we went to the river for a kayaking trip🛶 I didn’t take many photos… Because it rained almost the whole time🥴 I had a raincoat, so my shirt stayed dry, but everything else got wet😵💫 I even sat in the water…🥴 I hope I don’t get sick😅 The last time I was sick (enough to take medicine) was in 2019😅
But I have 2 photos…
I took the photos without taking my phone out of its waterproof protective case, so they were taken through a thick plastic film🌫️ That’s why they look a bit foggy🌫️😶🌫️ But I didn’t edit these photos, the colors, etc., because I wanted to start writing this post as soon as possible😅 So the photos (except for one sticker🍓) are unedited. And we got life jackets in a military camo pattern😮 I immediately thought of you💜 I wonder if that pattern was because we were paddling near the border?🤔 We finished the kayaking trip at the border with Belarus, and apparently we paddled 12 kilometers😊 It took me (and my friend) a little over 2 hours, even though it was her first time kayaking (and the water level was low, with frequent shoals that made paddling difficult)👍 It wasn’t a difficult trip, but many of us had never kayaked before, so maybe that’s a good thing😅 It was my third time kayaking, and despite the rain and a wet butt🍑 it was fun😁
As I mentioned earlier, I’d come up with the idea for the poem before😊 I thought about writing a mathematical poem😁 Maybe it’s not a very mathematical poem, but part of it is an equation I came up with😎 It’s not a difficult equation; you have to find the unknown x😊 And if you solve this equation correctly, you’ll know the result is right... The result is something you know what it means😉 And I’m talking about this unknown x in the poem. It’s a bit of an unusual poem, but I hope you’ll like it😊
A puzzle every day,
So many question marks,
A never-ending play,
A non-existent pause.
