• Over Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at business level
• Strong interpersonal & organization skills

1. Impacting the Product Assortment
• Sets the overall strategy and merchandise direction for the region
• Direct country buyers to develop assortments that support the needs of the customer and the financial objectives of the merchandise department
• Identify new business opportunities based on both trend and testing / pilot programs and provide analysis to support this
• Use knowledge and strong product instinct to highlight future trends to take sound buying decisions, influence future main line and SMU development
• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonal reviews of the collection performance versus expectations that are action based for current and future seasons

2. Buying & Merchandising process
• Use range building blocks of fissionability, pricing, revenue versus equity, colour, seasonality and price to build a rounded collection that delivers and stretches consumer expectations and looks great on the retail floor
• Support countries in setting and managing store model stocks to effectively manage replenishment and data integrity to ensure consistent merchandise flow and newness in stores
• Take decisions and manage actions on recommendations from country B&M on SKU actions (e.g. promotions, marketing, markdowns, cancellations)
• Work closely with VM and Marketing to ensure appropriate product promotion and availability of stock to tie in with Store Event Calendar
• Conduct internal product presentations to utive management, field operations and Country Retail Managers explaining buying strategy, trends and influences, consumer, ranking and product selling benefits behind the collection
• Consolidate order quantities across the region and sub regions
• Reconcile assortment plan to financial plan


3. Operational responsibilities
• Establishes professional B&M structure in the countries. Coaches and develops the buyers, planners and allocators in the countries
• Oversees the development of location plans which support the demographic needs and business opportunities of each market (e.g. grading and banding)
• Ensure that store refits and new stores are planned and supported to maximize business
Work alongside operations to produce training and tools to support sell through of products
