거대한 나무로 비유 되었던 애굽의 몰락역사에 대한 하나님의 섭리

(겔31:1-18)
1 In the eleventh year, in the third month on the first day, the word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his hordes: "'Who can be compared with you in majesty? 3 Consider Assyria, once a cedar in Lebanon, with beautiful branches overshadowing the forest; it towered on high, its top above the thick foliage. 4 The waters nourished it, deep springs made it grow tall; their streams flowed all around its base and sent their channels to all the trees of the field. 5 So it towered higher than all the trees of the field; its boughs increased and its branches grew long, spreading because of abundant waters. 6 All the birds of the air nested in its boughs, all the beasts of the field gave birth under its branches; all the great nations lived in its shade. 7 It was majestic in beauty, with its spreading boughs, for its roots went down to abundant waters. 8 The cedars in the garden of God could not rival it, nor could the pine trees equal its boughs, nor could the plane trees compare with its branches--no tree in the garden of God could match its beauty. 9 I made it beautiful with abundant branches, the envy of all the trees of Eden in the garden of God. 10 "'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because it towered on high, lifting its top above the thick foliage, and because it was proud of its height, 11 I handed it over to the ruler of the nations, for him to deal with according to its wickedness. I cast it aside, 12 and the most ruthless of foreign nations cut it down and left it. Its boughs fell on the mountains and in all the valleys; its branches lay broken in all the ravines of the land. All the nations of the earth came out from under its shade and left it. 13 All the birds of the air settled on the fallen tree, and all the beasts of the field were among its branches. 14 Therefore no other trees by the waters are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. No other trees so well-watered are ever to reach such a height; they are all destined for death, for the earth below, among mortal men, with those who go down to the pit. 15 "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day it was brought down to the grave I covered the deep springs with mourning for it; I held back its streams, and its abundant waters were restrained. Because of it I clothed Lebanon with gloom, and all the trees of the field withered away. 16 I made the nations tremble at the sound of its fall when I brought it down to the grave with those who go down to the pit. Then all the trees of Eden, the choicest and best of Lebanon, all the trees that were well-watered, were consoled in the earth below. 17 Those who lived in its shade, its allies among the nations, had also gone down to the grave with it, joining those killed by the sword. 18 "'Which of the trees of Eden can be compared with you in splendor and majesty? Yet you, too, will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the earth below; you will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword. "'This is Pharaoh and all his hordes, declares the Sovereign LORD.'"

외세의 침략을 맞이하며
쇠퇴기를 맞는데...

하나님의 종 예레미야는 이집트에 대한 예언을 하는데...
☞ BC587.1.7(여호야긴 제10년 10.12일 - 겔 29:1-16): 이집트 파라오 호프라(아프리에스)의 교만을 책망하고, 이집트가 바빌론에 의해 황폐해져 40년 동안 사람이 살지 못하게 될 것이라는 첫 예언
☞ BC587.4월말 ~ 5월초 (제11년 1.7일 / 3.1일 - 겔 30:20-26, 31장): 예루살렘이 바빌론에 포위되었을 때, 유다를 돕지 않고 배신한 이집트의 '팔을 꺾으시겠다'는 예언과 이집트의 몰락을 앗수르의 파멸에 비유한 예언

☞ BC571.4.26일 (제27년 1.1일 - 겔 29:17-21): 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 두로(티레)를 오랜 기간 공격했으나 보상을 얻지 못했으므로, 하나님께서 그 대가로 이집트 땅을 느부갓네살에게 주실 것이라고 선포
결국 BC568-565 바벨론의 느브갓네살에 의해 철저한 패망
이후 40년간의 바벨론 통치 영향을 받았으며
BC525년 페르시아(바사) 제국의 캄비세스 2세에게 정복당한 이후, 그리스(프토레마이오스 왕조), 로마 제국, 이슬람 제국, 오스만 제국, 대영제국 등의 지배를 끊임없이 받게 되었고
고대 세계를 호령하던 초강대국 이집트는 이후 단 한 번도 세계를 지배하는 제국의 위상을 되찾지 못한 채 오늘날에 이르게 된 하나님의 말씀 그대로 된 역사의 흐름을 볼 수 있다
거대한 나무로 비유 된 이집트
나일강이 가져다 준 풍요의 문명
그 영광 모두를 하나님께 돌려야 하는데...
옛날이나 지금이나
인간들은 잘되면 자신들의 탓
못되면 하나님 탓으로 돌리는 습관을 버리지 못하고 있음을 본다
(고전10:31)
"그런즉 너희가 먹든지 마시든지 무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 영광을 위하여 하라“
(벧전4:11)
"만일 누가 말하려면 하나님의 말씀을 하는 것 같이 하고 누가 봉사하려면 하나님이 공급하시는 힘으로 하는 것 같이 하라 이는 범사에 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님이 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이니 그에게 영광과 권능이 세세에 무궁하도록 있느니라 아멘“

"또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고 그를 힘입어 하나님 아버지께 감사하라“
(행12:21-23)
21 헤롯이 날을 택하여 왕복을 입고 단상에 앉아 백성에게 연설하니 22 백성들이 크게 부르되 이것은 신의 소리요 사람의 소리가 아니라 하거늘 23 헤롯이 영광을 하나님께로 돌리지 아니하므로 주의 사자가 곧 치니 벌레에게 먹혀 죽으니라
AD44 헤롯 아그립바1세처럼 되어서는 안되는데... 하는 생각을 하면서
잠16:18 교만은 패망의 선봉 됨을 지각하지 못한 이집트의 역사를 보며
하나님을 잊어가는 현 세대세태(世代世態)와
이어 있게 될 어김없는 하나님의 섭리(攝理)를 두려워하며 걱정하며
오늘도 내 마음 내 사명을 생각하며
무거운 마음을 하고 있다
