Gemma Greene who led gardai on Dublin M50 chase posts pictures 'from sunny holiday in Spain'
The 24-year-old told her followers she had flown into Madrid and later shared a map of her route to the city of Barcelona

The woman who led gardai on a high-speed chase through Dublin has claimed she’s left the country - for a sunny holiday in Spain. Gemma Greene, 24, who was unmasked as the driver that caused chaos in Dublin last week, posted multiple pictures and videos which appeared to show her in Dublin Airport, and later cruising down a motorway in the direction of Barcelona, Spain, on Monday. It comes three days on from when she brazenly told how she put her foot down and sped off when gardai tried to stop her last week.
She then caused chaos when she live-streamed the incident on social media - filming dozens of garda cars chasing her from Ballymun to Bray, Co Wicklow and all the way back to Dublin. But in these latest social media posts, Greene claimed she had left Ireland - showing a picture of a departures board in Dublin Airport that did match with flights leaving Monday.
Later posts showed what appeared to be Greene standing in the airport with a bag - and then a series of videos of her with her feet up in the passenger seat of a car in Spain. Greene told her followers she had flown into Madrid, and later shared a map of her route to the city of Barcelona.
Her supposed journey comes a week on from when gardai dramatically arrested her following an exhaustive chase that garnered headlines across the country. Now the Coolock native, who is facing court in connection with the chase at a later date, is claiming she has left the country in the midst of the pandemic. Upon "landing" in Madrid, Greene told her followers it was “strict” and she had been “scruffed into be tested” for Covid-19. Last week she had claimed she was taking a flight to Alicante - but never took the flight after speaking from her home in Coolock, North Dublin. And speaking about the incident that sparked the chase, Greene claimed to this paper that she only stopped because she was running out of fuel.
