으레껏 펜션 안 마당까지
차가 들어갈 줄 알고 예약했는데
인제 곰배령 펜션 아트하우스는
그럴 수 없다고 하네.

주차장에 도착하면
주인장께서
트럭을 가지고 나와
짐을 싣고 가고
우리는 약 3km를
걸어서 가야한다고 하여
곰배령 탐방 후 하산길에
두 번 넘어져 다친 나는
도저히 걸어서 들어갈
용기가 나지 않아
에라이! 예약금은
계획을 세운 내가 부담하고
그냥 인제읍내의 찜질방에서
잠을 자자고 제의를 했더니
벗 효재 여동구 군이
주인장과 전화 통화하여
몸이 불편한 드 사람인
우정 이충호 군과 나를
트럭에 태우고 들어갈 수 있는가?라
물어보니 가능하다 하여
원래대로 아트하우스 펜션에서
하룻밤을 보내기로 하고
인제읍내에서 일장을 마친 우리는
주인장께 전화하여
몇 시쯤 도착한다 알려드리고 오니
이미 주차장에 트럭을 가지고
마중을 나오셔서 짐을 실어놓고
몸이 불편한 두 사람은 먼저 타고
나머지 네 명은
입장객을 점검하는 곳을 지나
짐칸에 타고 들어왔다.
오랜만에 찜질방이 아닌
펜션에서 잠을 자니
이야기 삼매경에 빠져
밤이 깊어가는 줄 모르지만
내일 일정을 위하여
서둘러 잠을 청한다.
아침에 기벼운 몸으로 일어나
둘러본 아트하우스는
나의 입을 쫘악 벌어지게 하였다.
온 집안을 안주인의 솜씨로
재활용품을 이용하여 먼둘어놓은
작품으로 꽈악 차있다.
친절한 주인장의 마음씨와
솜씨좋은 안주인의 마음씨가 합해진
아트하우스 발전하고
돈 많이 버시길 축수해본다.

Art House Pension in Gombaeryeong, Inje...Chungang Goo Hongdeok
I had booked this pension assuming I could drive all the way into the front yard, but I was told that was not possible at Art House in Inje Gombaeryeong. They explained that once we arrived at the Jeombongsan Ecological Management Office parking lot, the owner would come with his truck to pick up our luggage, while we would have to walk the remaining 3 kilometers.
Having tripped and hurt myself twice while descending after trekking Gombaeryeong, I simply didn't have the courage to walk that far. "Forget it!" I said, suggesting we just give up the reservation—which I would cover—and sleep at a jjimjilbang (sauna) in Inje town instead. However, my friend Yeo Dong-gu called the owner to ask if he could drive me and our friend Lee Chung-ho, who were both physically struggling, in his truck. When he said it was possible, we decided to stick with our original plan to stay at Art House.
After finishing our schedule in Inje town, we called the owner to let him know our arrival time. When we arrived, he was already waiting at the parking lot with his truck. He loaded our luggage, and the two of us who were injured rode in the cabin, while the other four passed the entrance checkpoint and rode in the truck bed.
It had been a long time since I slept in a pension instead of a sauna, and we were so caught up in our conversation that we didn't notice the night deepening, but we hurried to sleep for the next day's schedule.
Waking up feeling refreshed in the morning, the sight of Art House left me in awe. The entire house was filled with wonderful works created by the hostess, who used recycled materials with remarkable skill. I sincerely wish for the continued success and prosperity of Art House, a place where the kind heart of the owner and the artistic talent of the hostess come together.
