What are you doing to cool off?

If someone or something cools off, or if you cool them off, they become cooler after having been hot.

Cool down

Cool off.

We dived into the river to cool off.

They did this to cool off.

==============================================

(Dan is talking to Paul on the telephone…)

Dan: So I hear the weather is really hot by you.

Paul: Yes it is. It's been 100 degrees almost every day.

Dan: What are you doing to cool off?

Paul: I've been drinking a lot of iced tea and taking extra showers.

Dan: It sounds like it's boiling there in Los Angeles.

Paul: It is and I don't know when it's going to let up.

Dan: You should come up to Seattle.

Paul: I'd like to.

Dan: Come even for a weekend.

Paul: I just might do that.

▶ by you: 네가 있는 (사는) 곳.
“It’s raining here. Is it raining by you?”

▶ It’s boiling:
“It’s boiling outside. I’m going to the beach.”

“It’s raining hard now, but it will let up soon.”
