Roger: So how's the weather today?

라저: 그래 오늘 날씨 어때?

Dan: It's raining as usual.

댄: 언제나처럼 비 와.

Roger: That's nothing new. It always rains in Seattle.

라저: 새삼스러울 것도 없다. 시애틀엔 항상 비가 오니까.

Dan: It's really coming down right now.

댄: 지금은 폭우가 쏟아져.

Roger: What are you doing tonight?

라저: 오늘 밤 뭐 할 거야?

Dan: I was going to go out and see a movie but I'll stay in tonight.

댄: 외출해서 영화 한 편 볼까 했는데 오늘 밤은 집에 있을 거야.

Roger: Good choice. You don't want to be out driving in that weather.

라저: 잘 생각했어. 그런 날씨에 운전하고 다니는 것 안 좋지.

Dan: So when are you going to come up and visit?

댄: 그래 언제 나 보러 이 쪽으로 올 거야?

Roger: I have some time in December.

라저: 12월에 시간이 좀 있어.

Dan: Well let me know.

댄: 그럼 연락해줘.

*as usual: 평소대로.

“As usual, Brian is late for work. He’s always late for work.” (평소처럼 브라이언은 직장에 늦었어. 항상 지각이야.)

*That’s nothing new: (as usual과 비슷한 뜻으로) 새로울 것도 없지. 어제 오늘 일이 아니야.

Jim: “Barbara locked her keys in her car again.” (짐: 바버러는 또 열쇠를 안에 두고 차 문을 잠궜어.)

Roger: “That’s nothing new. She does that a lot.” (라저: 어제 오늘 일이 아니야. 자주 그래.)

*stay in: (외출하지 않고) 집에 있다.

“I have no plans this weekend. I think I’ll stay in and read.” (이번 주말엔 계획이 없어. 집에 있으면서 책이나 읽을까 봐.)
