1. 등장인물은 처음 등장 시에는 성과 이름을 다 표기했습니다. 그리고 그 다음부터는 많이 불리는 대로 성이나 이름 중에 하나를 표기했습니다.
2. ( )은 상황설명이 대부분이고 한글표기를 했습니다. ( )의 상황설명 부분은 제가 비디오를 보고 직접 작성한 것입니다.
3. 이 영어대본은 영화"해리포터와 마법사의 돌"의 영어자막 비디오를 보고 직접 그 내용을 옮긴 것입니다. 만약 틀린 부분이 있을 경우, pyoyoukyung@hanmail.net 로 메일을 보내주시면 감사하겠습니다(스팸메일이나 장난메일은 금지).

(Dudley가 Harry를 밀쳐내고는 뱀을 본다. 그러자 Harry가 유리창을 강하게 응시하고, 유리창이 사라진다. 그리고 두들리가 뱀 쪽으로 떨어진다.)
Snake : Thanks.
Harry : Anytime.
People : Snake!
(유리창이 다시 생김)
Dudley : Mom, mommy! Mom, mom, mom, help me! Help me, please! Please! please!
Petunia : My darling boy! How did you get in there?! Oh my goodness! How did you get it there?! Please! Is there a snake? Is there a snake?

(집)
Petunia : It's all right, sweetheart. It's all right. We'll get you out of these terribly wet...
Vernon : What happened?!

(우편함을 막아버림)

(버논의 자동차 위에 부엉이들이 있음)
Vernon : Shoo! Go on.

(그 다음날은 편지를 불에 태워버림)
Vernon : Fine day, Sunday. In my opinion, best day of the week. Why is that, Dudley?
Harry : Because there's no post on Sundays?
Vernon : Right you are, Harry. No post on Sunday. Ha! No blasted letters today! No, sir! Not one single bloody letter. Not one!

(부엉이가 집밖에 많이 모여듬)
Vernon : No, sir. Not one blasted, miserable...

(이 때, 벽난로에서 편지가 마구 마구 나옴)
Dudley : Make it stop!
Vernon : Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
(해리가 편지를 잡으려고 함)
Dudley : Mommy, Mommy... tell me what's happening?!
Vernon : Give me that! Give me that letter!
Harry : Get off! They're my letters! Let go of me.
Vernon : That's it! We're going away! Far away... where they can't find us!
Dudley : Dad has gone mad, hasn't he?

(외딴섬. 해리만 빼고 다 자고 있음. 해리가 바닥에 생일 케이크를 그림.)
Harry : Make a wish, Harry.

(문이 흔들림)
Vernon : Who's there?

(문을 부수고 해그리드가 들어옴)
Hagrid : Sorry about that.
Vernon : I demand that you leave at once, sir. You are breaking and entering.
Hagrid : Dry up, Dursley, you great prune.(두들리를 보며) Mind, I haven't seen you since you was a baby, Harry, but... you're a bit more along that I'd of expected, particularly round the middle.
Dudley : Uh, I'm, I'm not Harry.
Harry : Uh, I am.
Hagrid : Well, Of course you are. Got something for you. 'Fraid I might have sat on it at some point, but I imagine it'll still taste fine just the same.

(해그리드, 주머니에서 무언가 꺼내 해리에게 준다)
Hagrid : Ah! Baked it myself, words and all.
Harry : Thank you.
Hagrid : It's not every day your young man turns eleven now, is it? Eh?
Harry : Excuse me, but... who are you?
Hagrid : Rubeus Hagrid. Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts. Of course, you'll know all about Hogwarts.
Harry : Sorry, no.
Hagrid : No? Blimey, Harry, didn't you ever wondered where your mom and dad learned it all?
Harry : Learned what?
Hagrid : You're a wizard, Harry.

Harry : "Dear, Mr. Potter,

accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
Vernon : He will not be going, I tell you we swore when we took him in we'd put a stop to all this rubbish.
Harry : You knew? You know all along and you never told me?
Petunia : Of course. I knew. How could you not be? My perfect sister, being who she was. Oh, My mother and father were so proud the day she got her letter. 'We have a witch in the family. Isn't it wonderful?' I was the only one to see her for what she was. A freak! And then she met that Potter, and then she had you... and I knew you would be the same. Just as strange, just as... abnormal. And then, if you please, she went and got herself blown up and we got landed with you.
Harry : Blown up! You told me my parents died in a car crash.
Hagrid :

 A car crash?! A car crash killed Lily and James Potter?
Petunia : We had to say something.
Vernon : It's an outrage!

Vernon : He'll not be going.

Hagrid : Nonmagie folk. This boy's had his name down ever since he were born. He's going to the finest school of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the world and he'll be under ther finest headmaster that Hogwarts has ever seen. Albus Dumbledore.
Vernon : I will not pay to have some crackpot old fool teach him magic tricks.
Hagrid : Never insult Albus Dumbledore, in front of me.

Child 1 : A racing broom!
Child 2 : Wow, look at it! The new Nimbus 2000!
Child 3 : It's the fastest model yet.
Harry : But, Hagrid, how am I to pay for all this? I haven't any money.
Hagrid : Well, there's your money, Harry. Gringotts, the wizard bank. Ain't no safer place. Not one. Except, perhaps, Hogwarts.

Hagrid : They're goblins, Harry. Clever as they come, goblins, but not the most friendly of beasts. Best stay close.

(금고를 열었다.)
Hagrid : Didn't think your mom and dad would leave you with nothing, now did you?
Goblin2 : Vault 713.
Harry : What's in there, Hagrid?
Hagrid : Can't tell you, Harry. Hogwarts' business. Very secret.
Goblin2 : Stand back.
Hagrid : Best not to mention this to anyone, Harry.
(713금고에서 꺼낸 무언가를 주머니에 넣은 해그리드와 해리는 밖으로 나옴)
Harry : I still need a wand.
Hagrid : A wand? Well, you want Ollivanders. There's no place better. Why don't you run along there and wait. I've just got one more thing. I got to do. Won't be long.

Ollivander : I wondered when I'd be seeing you, Mr. Potter. It seems only yesterday... that your mother and father were in here buying their first wands. Ah! Here we are. Give it a wave.
(해리가 지팡이를 휘두름. 상자들이 튀어나옴.)

(해리가 다른 지팡이를 휘두름. 유리가 깨짐.)

(해리가 또 다른 지팡이를 흔들자 아무 일도 일어나지 않음)

A trainman2 : Nine and three-quarters? You think you're being funny, do you?
Molly Weasley : It's the same every year, packed with Muggles, of course. Come on!
Harry : Muggles?
