Melo Still Wants Trade Out Of Denver

The Nuggets hold out hope of repairing their relationship with Carmelo Anthony but so far the superstar has not changed his mind.
Anthony still wants Denver to deal him and the team is considering how best to maximize return in a trade.
The Nets are aggressively trying to acquire Anthony and it is believed he would be open to signing an extension upon being traded to New Jersey.
"They're working the hardest to get a deal done," a source said about the Nets.
The Sixers are also in the mix, though it is unclear if Anthony would sign off on a trade to Philadelphia. Denver is said to be interested in Andre Iguodala.
Rival executives do not believe that the Knicks, Anthony's first choice, have enough to offer the Nuggets to complete a deal.
The Bulls are not considered a realistic destination.
Rockets Will Limit Yao To 24 Minutes

The Rockets plan to limit center Yao Ming to 24 minutes per game this season.
There will be no exceptions, once the All-Star center reaches his limit he'll be removed from the game.
"Twenty-four is his number all year," trainer Keith Jones said. "Playoffs come, things could change. We're trying to get him through April.
"We're trying to give him the best chance to play the whole season by limiting stress. Even practices, if we play on Monday and play again on Wednesday, can he practice on Tuesday? No. He'll practice, but he won't scrimmage."
Yao also is likely to be held out of the second half of back-to-backs.

Atlanta's Roster Is Set For Camp
Hawks general manager Rick Sund says that the team's roster is set for training camp.
Atlanta has 14 players under contract with a payroll of about $69 million. Their training camp will begin on Sept. 28 and they aren't likely to add any non-roster invitees.
"Our team is set for training camp," Sund said. "We are a veteran team. And with the young guys Teague, [Jordan] Crawford and Pape, our focus is on getting more reps for them."
Haslem's Marijuana Charge Dropped

The Mavericks are scrambling to replace veteran forward Tim Thomas and are looking at free-agent Brian Cardinal.
While Cardinal is considered the favorite to land in Dallas, nothing is imminent as the Mavericks pursue other options.
Thomas informed the Mavericks earlier this week that he won't be able to play this season as he cares for his ill wife.
Jazz Aren't Looking To Deal Kirilenko

"If he plays well, it helps us, it helps him. We don't talk to Andrei about his contract. But Andrei's a key for us. And he's a big key. I think we went 20-4 at one point last season when he was playing very well. And he's been hurt the last two years. He's a key. We expect Andrei to have a big season for us. ... He's on our team. If we can improve our team — and I've said this from day one — if we can improve our team, we'll look at doing that. But we're not looking to make any moves."
Karl Wants To Persuade Carmelo To Stay

"Some of the bombs that hit our team injury-wise and my situation, I think we kind of need to stay together, in my opinion. It's pretty easy: Stay together and figure it out. Right now, I don't think Melo is going to be calling me for advice. Fortunately, it's not my job to probably call him to talk about that situation. My job is to talk about basketball."
Denver is trying to convince Anthony to sign a contract extension, while trade rumors have swirled over the last month.
Houston Offers Dampier Two-Year Deal

"We're happy with our group, but we're constantly looking at good players if they become available," general manager Daryl Morey said.

Raptors Likely To Keep Colangelo

Grizzlies Agree To Deals With Henry, Vasquez

The pair reach the deals in principle through their agents. Both players will sign contracts worth 120 percent of the NBA's rookie salary scale designated for their draft positions.
"As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy the issue has been resolved," Memphis owner Michael Heisley said. "There's no question I'm doing what I should have probably done earlier."
The Grizzlies had offered 100 percent of the rookie salaries with an added 20 percent tied to performance clauses.
Paul Allen Now Cancer Free

Allen's diagnosis of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was made public in November 2009.

혹시 모르죠. 이번 시즌 우선 잔류한 후 서부 파이널 이상 진출해서 중간에 멋진 드라마라도 써준다면 멋지게 남아 있을 수도...^^ -
