Khris Middleton Suffers MCL Sprain, Will Have MRI On Thursday

 벅스의 Khris Middleton이 불슨와의 2차전에서 무릎 부상을 당했으며, MRI 촬영을 할 거라고 합니다.

Khris Middleton was diagnosed with a sprained MCL following the Milwaukee Bucks' 114-110 loss to the Chicago Bulls in Game 2.

Middleton suffered the injury in the fourth quarter and did not return to the game. Mike Budenholzer announced that Middleton will have an MRI on Thursday.

Bobby Portis also left the game in the first quarter after taking an elbow from Tristan Thompson. Portis was diagnosed with a right eye abrasion.

Budenholzer added before the game that George Hill was not expected to return anytime soon due to an abdominal strain.

The series is currently tied 1-1. 

Villanova's Jay Wright Expected To Retire

Hall of Fame coach Jay Wright is expected to retire after 21 seasons as the head coach at Villanova, sources told ESPN.

Fordham's Kyle Neptune, who spent 10 years under Wright as a video coordinator and assistant coach, is expected to be named his successor, sources said.

Wright has called a team meeting for Wednesday night, according to sources.

Devin Booker Likely Out For Games 3, 4 With Hamstring Strain

Devin Booker has been diagnosed with a mild right hamstring strain and will likely miss Games 3 and 4 for the Phoenix Suns against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Suns and Pelicans are tied at one game apiece in their first round series.

Booker had a prolific first half in Tuesday night's Game 2, scoring 31 points. Booker suffered the injury with 4:45 left in the third quarter.

Booker has battled hamstring issues for the past two seasons. In November, he strained his left hamstring on a play similar to Tuesday's and missed seven games. Booker also suffered a hamstring in The Finals though the injury wasn't disclosed. 

Ben Simmons Targeting Game 4 For Potential Return

Ben Simmons could realistically be ready to make his season debut in Game 4 for the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have also yet to rule out Game 3 for a return though Game 4 is more likely.

Simmons is expected to continue accelerating his return from a back injury.

Simmons has yet to play since Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals last June.

In his season-ending media availability Cleveland Cavaliers president of basketball operations Koby Altman expressed both heartbreak and pride for the past season, while having optimism for the future. Cleveland's surprising season ended in the Play-In Tournament.

“I’m still a little heartsick, to be honest with you,” Altman said. “It’s hard to process the season ending the way it did and that we’re not still playing, but such a remarkable year for so many reasons. A long runway ahead of exciting basketball. So, we’re excited, really excited for the future obviously, and the work continues.”

Altman knows that starts with some work on his roster. First priority is figuring out a new deal for restricted free agent guard Collin Sexton. Altman said that Sexton's work ethic helped set a tone from the moment he arrived at the franchise.

Caris LeVert, who was acquired after season-ending injuries for Sexton and veteran point guard Ricky Rubio, is someone Altman also hopes to keep in Cleveland. LeVert agrees, saying he hopes to sign an extension with the Cavs.

“Yeah, this is where I want to be,” LeVert said. “They know that, the front office knows that, my teammates know that. I don’t know what’s gonna happen with that contract extension, but I know where my heart is. I know where I want to be. So, we’ll see what happens going forward.”

An extension for All-Star point guard Darius Garland is also on the table. Altman said that he's planning on Garland being in Cleveland for "a long time". Garland is extension-eligible for the first time this summer.

Shaquille O'Neal opened up about his professional and personal lives in a recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast. O'Neal said things aren't always what they seem on the outside.

"Just because things you do make you seem like you are perfect, you aren't perfect," said. O'Neal.

The 19-year NBA legend went on to say he only has three regrets in life that he dwells on.

"Big mistake in the Penny (Hardaway) relationship. Big mistake in the Kobe (Bryant) relationship. Horrible mistake in both marriages. Other than that, I don't really dwell on a lot."

O'Neal has talked in the past about how he should have handled things better with both Hardaway and Bryant when he was teammates with them on the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers, respectively. On the show, O'Neal also talked about how after his marriages ended, he felt alone and lost while in his 76,000 sq foot home. He mentioned missing the voices of his family greeting him when he got home.

Paolo Banchero announced his decision to enter the 2022 NBA Draft in a video posted to social media.

"It has always been a dream of mine to play at Duke, and it has always been a dream of mine to play in the NBA," said Banchero.

Banchero is projected to be the No. 3 pick in the draft, according to the latest mock from ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

Banchero averaged 17.2 points and 7.8 rebounds during the season.

"He is so dynamic, explosive and versatile -- a model player in today's NBA game. He did whatever we asked at a very high level," added Mike Krzyzewski in a statement. 

Luka Doncic Increases Practice Activity Ahead Of Game 3

The Dallas Mavericks plan to have Luka Doncic increase his practice activity during practice on Wednesday as they attempt to determine when he can return from his calf strain.

Doncic has missed the first two games of the series, which the Mavericks split with the Utah Jazz.

Doncic is on course to return at some point this series with the questing being when.

Collin Sexton's contract year didn't go the way he hoped it would. But that doesn't have the 23-year-old point guard down, nor has it changed his outlook for the future.

After playing just 11 games before tearing a meniscus in his left knee, Sexton said he's getting better each day.

“I’m getting there,” Sexton said. “Every day is a grind. I feel better every day. As long as I get better 1 percent each and every day I wake up, then it’s a win-win. I just continue to just know that some days are gonna be better than others and just continue to know that I will be full go, and I know I’ll be 100 percent. So, that’s one thing that I can really look forward to and say that I have confidence in myself, and I have confidence in the people that’s working with me to get me back to where I was, (being) even much better and jumping a lot higher.”

Sexton is set to be a restricted free agent this summer, but said he hopes to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I want to be here in Cleveland,” Sexton said. “I love the organization, love my teammates and whatever happens, I know that Cleveland was really good to me. I know this is the place that helped me get to where I am today, and I know I want to continue to be a part of this winning culture and be a part of this culture. I feel like me just being able to be at the start of it helped us get to where we are yesterday and where we are right now at the present. So, I love Cleveland. I want to be here.”
