Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has been upgraded to available for Game 4. The Mavericks currently hold a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4 at the Utah Jazz.
Doncic missed the first three games of the series, after getting hurt in the Mavs season finale on April 10. Dallas lost the first game, but won Games 2 and 3 to take the 2-1 series lead.

Kyle Lowry exited the Miami Heat's Game 3 loss to the Atlanta Hawks with a left hamstring injury. While Lowry doesn't think it is serious, the Heat are considering their veteran point guard to be day-to-day.
Lowry personally referred to his status as "hour-to-hour" and said that he still hopes to play in Game 4 on Sunday. But Lowry admitted that he'll get on the same with the Miami medical staff.
“I’ve got to be smart," Lowry said. “Myself and my team, the medical, we all have to be on the same page and all be in agreement.”
The Hawks won Game 3 in Atlanta to get back into the series. Miami leads the first round series 2-1 heading into Game 4.

Scottie Barnes has been named the 2021-22 NBA Rookie of the Year. He is the third player to win the annual award with Toronto, joining Damon Stoudamire (1995-96) and Vince Carter (1998-99).
Barnes received 378 points (48 first-place votes) from a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters.
Evan Mobley finished in second place with 363 points (43 first-place votes). The 15-point difference between the first- and second-place finishers marks the smallest margin in NBA Rookie of the Year balloting under the current voting format, which began with the 2002-03 season.
Cade Cunningham finished in third place with 153 points (nine first-place votes). Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote.
Barnes averaged 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.08 steals and 0.74 blocks in 35.4 minutes in 74 games, leading all rookies in minutes, ranking third in points and rebounds and finishing fifth in assists, steals and blocks.

The Sacramento Kings will interview Mike D'Antoni and Mark Jackson for their head coaching job in addition to a number of current assistant coaches.
D'Antoni was last a head coach in 2020 with the Houston Rockets. D'Antoni has connections to Sacramento's front office in Monte McNair.
Jackson was head coach of the Golden State Warriors from 2011 until 2014. Jackson has subsequently worked in broadcasting.
The Kings fired Luke Walton during the beginning of the 21-22 season.

Joel Embiid is experiencing "significant pain" in his right thumb, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
Embiid, who practiced on Friday and is expected to play in Game 4 against the Raptors, may get an MRI in the future to determine if there is ligament damage.
Embiid reportedly wore a protective wrap on his right thumb during Friday's practice.
"He's good. We did a lot of stuff ... we just don't want anybody to hit his arms and hands and all that. But he's fine," said Doc Rivers following the practice.
The Sixers lead the series 3-0.

The Kings have plans to interview Mike Brown, Steve Clifford, Darvin Ham, Charles Lee and Will Hardy.
The Kings are hoping to hire a coach that can help end their extended playoff drought.
