"All indications" point to Kyrie Irving signing a contract extension with the Brooklyn Nets this offseason, sources told Brian Lewis of the New York Post.
Irving currently has a player option worth $36.5 million for next season and has until June 29 to make a decision.
It was reported last month that the Nets were "outright unwilling" to sign Irving to a long-term deal.
Despite the rumors, the sentiment around the league is that Irving will re-sign with the Nets.
Irving has played a total of 123 of 226 games since signing a max deal in 2019.

Deandre Ayton will be a restricted free agent this offseason and sources tell The Athletic that it's “more likely than not” he will leave the Phoenix Suns.
Because of Ayton's restricted free agency status where the Suns could match any offer, a sign-and-trade appears to be the more probable scenario.
"Now, I think it’s more likely than not that he’s in a new destination next season, especially if the Suns can work out a sign-and-trade that brings back some value," writes John Hollinger. "For whatever reason, I don’t think Phoenix is totally comfortable going forward with him on a big-money deal, and I think Ayton might be okay with going somewhere else if he can have a bigger offensive role."
The Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers are expected to be among the teams who pursues Ayton.

The Chicago Bulls have interest in Rudy Gobert should he become available on the trade market, sources tell Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.
Gobert has previously also been linked with the Toronto Raptors.
Gobert signed a five-year, $205 million extension with the Utah Jazz before the 20-21 season. Gobert has a player option for the 25-26 season.
With Quin Snyder leaving the Jazz after another disappointing playoff exit, the franchise is believed to be considering more significant changes.

The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly interested in trading for Jerami Grant, sources told Marc Stein.
The Pistons have not fully confirmed that they are willing to part ways with Grant, who will be eligible for a four-year, $112 million extension.
Grant has most notably been linked with a move to the Blazers this offseason.

Darvin Ham publicly supported Russell Westbrook during his opening press conference as Los Angeles Lakers head coach.
"Russell Westbrook is one of the best players our league has ever seen, and there's still a ton left in the tank," said Ham. "I don't know why people tend to try to write him off."
Westbrook, along with Austin Reaves, Stanley Johnson and Wenyen Gabriel, attended Ham's press conference.
"I'm going to expect him to be the same tenacious, high-energy player that he's been all his entire career. A lot of that now may have him without the ball in his hand. Most of it now may have it on the defensive end. But again, we have to sacrifice. There's no achieving anything without all parties sharing the load, sacrificing, instead of one-on-one," added Ham of his expectations of Westbrook.
Ham began his NBA coaching career as an assistant under Mike Brown with the Lakers during the 2012-13 season.
Ham stressed the idea of accountability for all of the players on the Lakers roster, including what he deemed a "Big Three" with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Westbrook.
"We have a saying, 'Facts over feelings.' And once you see the film, that's a fact. You missed your assignment, then that has to be pointed out. Because if I can't point it out to one of our Big Three, then the last man or someone in the rotation, they're not going to take what we're doing seriously."
Rasheed Wallace is currently in discussions to join Ham's staff.

Rasheed Wallace is in discussions to become an assistant coach on the staff of Darvin Ham with the Los Angeles Lakers. A previous report indicated a deal was already in place.
Wallace was most recently an assistant coach at Memphis under Penny Hardaway.
Wallace was teammates with Darvin Ham with the Detroit Pistons.

The Utah Jazz, a model of stability in the NBA, are in flux. Midway through last season, Danny Ainge took over Utah's basketball operations. Quin Snyder recently announced his resignation as Jazz coach, and now players are reportedly confused about where the organization is heading.
With Ainge in charge, it's no surprise that Utah is expected to be aggressive on the trade market. What's unclear is if Ainge will look to retool the roster around Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. Or will Ainge look to move the two stars and kick off a full-scale rebuild?
Mitchell is reportedly "unnerved and unsettled", per an ESPN report. The Jazz have received a good amount of trade interest in Gobert and Bojan Bogdanovic. The team has also been rumored to be willing to listen on veteran guards Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson.
