The Sacramento Kings offered De'Aaron Fox a two-year, $105 million extension before the start of the 23-24 season, sources tell Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report. The two-year offer is the maximum the Kings are currently allowed to offer.

Fox decided to turn down the extension in hopes of making an All-NBA team again this season, which would make him eligible to sign a four-year supermax worth approximately $245 million. Both sides are interested in a long-term deal.

Fox is represented by Rich Paul.

The Kings signed Domantas Sabonis to a renegotiation and extension worth $217 million last offseason.

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal has begun to ramp up in the rehab process from his back injury. If all goes according to plan, Beal could return to the Suns in the next 10 days.

After being acquired from the Washington Wizards this offseason, the veteran guard has played in just three games this season. Beal was able to play in three games from November 8 to 12, before being sidelined with a reoccurrence of back pain.

Beal has now missed 11 straight games for Phoenix, and 18 games in total. If Beal returns on, or around, December 15, he'll miss an additional three to four games.

Kristaps Porzingis appears poised to make his return to the Boston Celtics. Porzingis posted on his Instagram feed that he'll be "lined up for the next game".

That seemingly has Porzingis lined up to play against his former team, the New York Knicks, on Friday. Both the Celtics and Knicks were eliminated from the In-Season Tournament this week and will meet in Boston on Friday night.

The Celtics big man has missed Boston's last four games with a strained left calf. Porzingis was injured on November 24, when he came up limping in a game at the Orlando Magic. Porzingis left that game early and hasn't played since.

In 15 games this season, Porzingis has averaged 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He's also shooting a career-best 54.7% from the field in his first season with the Celtics.

Knicks Monitoring Trade Market For Star Player

The New York Knicks are keeping an eye on the trade market should a star player become available, according to Shams Charania of FanDuel TV.

"They're monitoring the marketplace. They want to see if there's a star player available that they would go all in for.

"They have eight first-round draft picks...they've kept a lot of their assets, they have a ton of tradeable contracts as well. They have a couple young players. They have guys like Quentin Grimes, Immanuel Quickley, so they've got pieces. If they want to go make an aggressive bid for a superstar player, I think they have what it takes," said Charania.

Ian Begley of SNY reported that the team are not engaged in discussions for either Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan.

Grimes recently discussed his lack of shooting rhythm after shooting 35.9% from the field this year.

Adam Silver Again Says NBA Will Consider Expansion

While a guest on SiriusXM NBA Radio, NBA commissioner Adam Silver confirmed again that the league will consider expansion. Silver was asked directly about Las Vegas as a potential expansion city, and he confirmed that will be under consideration.

“Well, number one, I'll say there are no inside candidates. Lots of players, former players, well-known wealthy people out there who've expressed interest in having a Las Vegas franchise. What I've said to everyone, publicly and privately, is that there is no process in place. There have been no secret discussions, no commitments to anyone. I'm obviously thrilled that people are interested," Silver said. "We have a long track record in Vegas. Not that it's a competition, but before those other teams you mentioned were there, we played an All-Star game there. We brought our summer league to Las Vegas. Obviously now we have the WNBA Las Vegas Aces which are incredibly successful there. We're bringing the in-season tournament semifinals and championship game there. So we like the market."

Silver again said that negotiating the NBA's next media rights deal is the priority. Any expansion discussion will come after that. But Silver said expansion will be something the league turns to when that deal is complete.

"So, you know, we'll see what the timing is on those national television agreements. You know, we don't have to wait till the end of the second season to get those done, but once we do, we'll turn back to expansion, or turn to expansion. And again, I made no secret out of it," Silver said on timing of expansion discussions.

The NBA commissioner also referenced Seattle alongside Las Vegas, as one of the cities the league will consider expanding to.

"Las Vegas is one of those markets we're gonna look to," Silver said. "I know that the fans in Seattle have wanted us to get back there forever. No commitments, you know, to anyone. But we'll certainly be looking at those two markets."
