Rudy Gobert fouled out of the Minnesota Timberwolves overtime loss at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. When he was called for his sixth foul, Gobert flashed the "money" sign at the officials as he headed to the bench. The Wolves center was called for a technical foul, which helped the Cavs send the game to the extra period.
Following the game, Gobert didn't let up in his criticism of the way sports betting may be influencing officials.
"I made some mistakes. I airballed a dunk. Mistakes happen. Referees make mistakes, too," Gobert said. "But sometimes I think it’s more than mistakes. I think everyone that’s in this league knows. I think it’s got to get better."
Gobert added that he's willing to be the "bad guy again that speaks what I think is the truth." He added that he thinks gambling is hurting the NBA.
"I think it’s hurting our game. I know the betting and all that is becoming bigger and bigger, but it shouldn’t feel that way," Gobert said.

Indiana Pacers wing Bennedict Mathurin will miss the remainder of the season. Mathurin has a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Mathurin is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024-25 season.
In 59 games (19 starts), Mathurin took major steps forward in his second season. The 6-foot-6 wing averaged 14.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Mathurin improved his efficiency, as he hit 45% from the field, including 37% on 3.6 three-point attempts per game.
Mathurin was also named the MVP of the Rising Stars Challenge at 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend.

The Los Angeles Lakers picked up a big win without LeBron James when they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. D'Angelo Russell was a big part of the Lakers getting that win with 44 points. Russell had 21 fourth-quarter points, including the game-winner with 5.9 seconds to play.
Following the game, Russell said he welcomes the pressure. The Lakers guard said everything he's been through has made him confident he'll come through when it matters most.
"On the floor, I've always felt like I was capable of doing things, [and] getting hot makes it a little more exciting," Russell said. "Off the floor, obviously you all know what I've been through. Public humiliation has done nothing but mold me into the killer that you all see today. I never lack confidence. I never fear confrontation. I want all the smoke. ... I just feel confident in what I bring to the basketball game, so whatever room I walk in, I'm confident."

The injury-ravaged Memphis Grizzlies are bringing in some additional help. DeJon Jarreau will sign with Memphis on a 10-day hardship contract.
The Grizzlies regularly have between eight and 12 players unavailable due to various injuries. Several of those players have already been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Jarreau has appeared in 36 games between the Memphis Hustle and the Capital City Go-Go this G League season. The 6-foot-5 point guard has averaged 14.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season.

Bobi Klintman plans to enter the 2024 NBA Draft, he told Jonathan Givony of ESPN.
Klintman is a projected first-round pick and ranked as the No. 22 prospect in the ESPN 100.
Klintman would be the first Swedish player to get drafted in the first round.
"I hope that NBA teams that watched me saw I wasn't afraid to take on a challenge. The path I took is one only a few players are willing to take. It's harder than the college route. Hopefully NBA teams saw that I'm tough," said Klintman.
