Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro traveled with the team on a three-game road trip. That has created some optimism that Herro is on the cusp of a return, possibly as soon as Friday night. The Heat play at the Houston Rockets on Friday before traveling to play the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks.
Herro has missed the last 20 games due to a right foot injury. Overall, Herro has played in only 36 games this season.
Miami will welcome the backcourt help, as the Heat are down to Terry Rozier III and Duncan Robinson as playing regular minutes at the guard position. Herro has averaged a career-high 20.8 points and 4.4 assists, along with 5.3 rebounds per game.

New York Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein has blossomed in his first season as a regular starter. Hartenstein hopes that leads to a big contract, preferably with the Knicks.
"I’m focused on what I’m doing right now. I know I’ve put myself in a great position to get a little upgrade. Right now, I’m focused on the Knicks. I love it here, and hopefully, we’ll figure something out, but at the end of the day, business is business," Hartenstein said about his upcoming unrestricted free agency.
When asked if he'd stay with New York if the money was equal elsewhere, Hartenstein replied with a simple "Yeah".
Julius Randle Out For Season With Shoulder Surgery

Julius Randle will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder.
Randle has been out since dislocating his shoulder on Jan. 27. Randle had worked on rehabilitating the injury, but continued instability in the shoulder made it unsafe for him to play again this season. Randle had hoped to avoid surgery.
Randle's surgery is expected to allow for a full recovery and return around the start of the 24-25 season.
Zion Williamson Day-To-Day With Sore Finger

Zion Williamson is day-to-day with a sore finger, according to Willie Green.
An X-ray on Williamson's finger returned negative.
"Everything structurally was fine, just some soreness in his finger," said Green.
Williamson is questionable for the Pelicans' game on Friday against the Spurs.
Brandon Ingram and Jose Alvarado are both listed as out for the game.
Sixers Convert Jeff Dowtin To Standard Contract

The Philadelphia 76ers have converted guard Jeff Dowtin to a standard contract for the remainder of the season. Dowtin has been playing on a two-way deal with the Sixers since early March.
Dowtin has appeared in just seven games with Philadelphia since being signed. He has experienced with 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, from their time together with the Toronto Raptors last season.
Philadelphia had two open roster spots to fill. Dowtin will give the team some additional backcourt depth. The status of De'Anthony Melton is unknown, as he's still dealing with a back injury. Tyrese Maxey has also missed time with various injuries throughout the season.
Javonte Green, Bulls Agree To Deal For Remainder Of Season

Green has played three games with the Bulls while on a 10-day deal, averaging 5.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.0 minutes.
Green is represented by Duncan Lloyd.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are converting Luka Garza from his Two-Way contact to a standard NBA contract.
In 21 games this season, Garza is averaging 4.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.2 minutes.
Garza was a second round pick by the Detroit Pistons in 2021.
