And when a thing can no longer offend, it ceases to exist in the old way.
When no discriminating thoughts arise, the old mind ceases to exist.
無咎無法 [무구무법] 허물이 없으면 법이 없고
不生不心 [불생불심] 나지 않으면 마음이랄 것도 없음이라.
When thought objects vanish, the thinking-subject vanishes,
as when the mind vanishes, objects vanish.
能隨境滅 [능수경멸] 주관은 객관을 따라 소멸하고
境逐能沈 [경축능침] 객관은 주관을 따라 잠겨서
Things are objects because of the subject
the mind is such because of things.
境由能境 [경유능경] 객관은 주관으로 말미암아 객관이요
能由境能 [능유경능] 주관은 객관으로 말미암아 주관이니
Understand the relativity of these two
and the basic reality : the unity of emptiness.
欲知兩段 [욕지양단] 양단을 알고저 할진대
元是一空 [원시일공] 원래 하나의 공이니라.

* vanish ; 소멸하다, 희미해지다, 사라지다
* relativity ; 상대성, 의존성
