다니엘이 방호복을 입지 않고 기분 좋아 보이는 얼굴로 앞 잔디 마당으로 나왔다. 그 뒤를 수잔이 빽쌕을 메고 나왔다.

"그래요. 좀 쉬었다 가는것이 좋겠어요."
수쟌이 말하며 쉴 곳이라는 듯 나무 숲아래에 있는 넓은 바위에 앉았다. 바로 옆에 다니엘이 앉았고, 체시로는 그들을 볼 수 있는 건너편 캐네디언 파인트리 밑에 앉았다. 나는 주변을 돌아보고 그리고 하늘을 보며 이상 없음을 확인하고 체시로와 그들 사이에 앉았다. 이미 수쟌과 체시로는 먹을 것을 빽쌕에서 꺼내고 물을 마시고 있었다.
