*소변 분석기-소변에는 여러 대사산물이 포함되어 있어 소변검사를 통해 요로 감염, 신장 및 비뇨기계 질환, 내분비질환, 대사성질환, 전해질 이상 등의 질환을 비 침습적인 방법으로 선별할 수 있다 하였다. 원장인 혜정은 꼭 있어야 한다 하여 이왕이면 좋은 것을 구입하였다.

*인공호흡기-폐의 질환, 호흡근이나 호흡 중추의 이상, 마취를 시켜 수술할 때 등에 인공적으로 호흡을 조절하여 폐포에 산소를 불어 넣는 장치이다. 인공호흡기 역시 라버레도 주립 병원에서 기증하였다.
나와 혜정이는 토론토에 2번, 뉴 펀드렌드 엔드 라버레도에 2번을 의료 장비 구입과 싣고 오는 일로 다녀왔다. 우리는 시간을 내어 허드슨 베이 몰에서 필요한 생필품도 구입하였다. 이 일로 인하여 내가 젊어지고 있다는 느낌과 생각을 하였다.
