Part 28 : Sa-go(嗣孤,사고)... Raising a child without a nusband to carry on the family lineage... Case 87.
嗣孤(사고)는 남편이 세상을 떠났어도 태아가 있다면
태아를 낳아 훌륭하게 키워 남편의 뒤를 계승하게 하는 것이다.
"Sa-go" means that even if a husband passes awoy, if the wife is pregnant,
she gives birth to the unborn child and raises them well to succeed and
carry on her husband′s legacy.
인간의 윤리에서 가문이 끊임없이 계승되는 것이야말로 가장 중요한 일이다.
In human ethics, ensuring that the family lineage continuse without
interruption is of the utmost importance.
유복자를 낳고 키우는 것이야말로 세상에 없는 남편에 대한 가장 큰 믿음의 표현이다.
Giving birth to and raising a posthumous child(a child born after the father′s death)
is the ultimate expression of trust and devotion to a husband who is no longer in this world.
인간이 세상을 살며 의로운 윤리를 베푸는 것과 착하고, 깨끗하고,
후한 마음(天理,천리)을 따르는 것이 올바른 경전의가르침이다.
Practicing righteous ethics while living in this world, and following a good, pure,
and generous heart― which aligns with the Heavenly Principles(天理,천리)― is the
true and correct teaching of the sacred scriptures.

嗣孤者는 保遺胎하여 嗣夫後也라 (사고자는 보유태하고 사부후야라)
As for "sa-go"(carrying on the lineage through an orphan),
it means protecting the unborn child left behind,
thereby allowing the child to succeed the husband′s lineage.
倫莫重於嗣後하고 信莫大於保孤라 (윤막중어사후하고 신막대어보고라)
No moral duty is weightier than succeeding the family line,
and no trust is greater than protecting and nurturing the fatherless child.
故로 捨人事之倫義하고 從天理之正經이니라.(고로 사인사지륜의하고 종천리지정경이니라.)
Therefore, one transcends ordinary human conventions and aligns
with the true and righteous scriptures of the Heavenly Principles.
