제 1위 幼我(유아)......나와 같이 남을 사랑함......第98事
1st Level : Yu-ah(幼我 유아, Nurturing others as oneself)...
Loving others as oneself... Case No. 98
幼我(유아)는 남을 나와 같이 생각하는 것이다.
"Yu-ah" means thinking of others as if they were oneself.
내가 춥고 더우면 남도 역시 춥고 더우며
If Ifeel cold and hot, others also feel cold and hot;
내가 배고프면 남도 역시 배가 고픈 것이니
If Iam hungry, others are also hungry;
내가 어찌할 수 없으면 남도 역시 어찌할 수 없는 것이다.
If Iam heloess in a situation, others are also helpless.

幼我者는 推人如我也라 (유아자는 추인여아야라)
To Practice "Yu-ah" is to extend oneself to judge othere as if they were oneeself.
我寒熱이면 人亦寒熱이며 (아한열이면 인역한열이며)
If Iexperience cold and heat, others likewise experience cold and heat.
我飢餓면 人亦飢餓며 (아기아면 인역기아며)
If I suffer from hunger and starvation, others likewise suffer from hunger and starvation.
我無奈면 人亦無奈하느니라. (아무내면 인역무내하느니라.)
If I am helpless and without options, others likewise are helpless and without options.
[Commentary & Interpetation, 풀이]
남이 나와 같이 생각하는 내용은 우리 배달경학에서는 대단히 중요한 개념이다.
This concept―viewing others as identical to oneself―is an immensely important
concept in our Baedal Gyeonghak(traditional Korean scriptural studiess).
내가 이세상에서 가장 위대한 존재인 것은 나의 중심에 하나님(一神,일신)께서
내려와 계시기 때문이다.(一身降衷,일신강충)
The reason I am the most sublime being in this world is that
God(II-shin-, the One Divine Spirit) has descended imto the core of my being.
(Ref ; II- shin-gang-chung- the Divine has descendrd into one′s body / soul).
그리고 하나님은 나뿐만 아니라 모든 인간의 중심에 평등하게 자리잡고 계시므로
남이 곧 나라는 大同(대동)의 개념이 성립된다.
Furthermore, because God dwells equally within the center of all human beings,
not just myself, the concept of " Daedong" (Great Unity) ―the realization that
"the other is fundamentally me" ― is established.
이른바 너와 내가 모두 하나님 앞에서 하나인 것이다.
In other words, you and iare both one and the same before God.
따라서 모든 일은 나를 비추어 보아 남을 알 수 있는 것이다.
Therefore, in all matters, one can truly understand others by reflecting upon oneself.
따라서 내가 힘든 일이 남도 힘들 것이며 내가 할 수 없는 일은 남도 하기 어려운 것이다.
Consequently, what is difficult for mw will naturally be difficult for others,
and what is impossible for me to do will aiso be hard for others to accomplish.
