No. 10 : Jeonmae(全昧,전매)... Total lgnorance and Darkness without Awakening... Section 108.
全昧(전매)는 인간의 본 바탕에 대한 이치(性理,성리)를 전혀 깨우치지 못하고 어두움 속에 완전히 빠져 들어간 것이다.
Jeonmae(全昧,전매) refers to a state of being completely submerged in darkness,
entirely failing to awaken to the fundamental principles(Seongri/Nature and principle)
of human essence.
인간이 가지고 있는 영혼의 바탕은 天理(천리)를 포함한다.
The fundamental nature of the human soul encompasses Heavenly principle(天理,천리).
天理(천리)는 인간의 道理(도리)를 포함하며 인간의 道理(도리)는 情慾(정욕)을 감추고 있는 것이다.
Heavenly Principle(天理,천리) encompasses Human Duty and Morality(人道,인도).
Human Duty and Morality(人道,인도) Keeps Passionate Desires (情慾,정욕) properly
contained and hidden within.
따라서 情慾(정욕)이 정도에 지나치는 사람은 인간의 道理(도리)를 황폐하게 하고,
Therefore, those whose Passionate Desires (情慾,정욕) become excessive will devastate
Human Duty and Morality(人道,인도),
天理(천리)를 잠기게 하며 영혼의 본바탕을 무너뜨리니 영혼의 본바탕을 다시 열고,
cause the Heavenly Principle(天理,천리) to sink into oblivion,
and destroy the core foundation of their soul.
외부로부터의 混沌(혼돈) 상태를 닫아 버리면 스스로의 영혼의 본 바탕에 부합하고 있음을 스스로 알게된다.
Conversely, if one reopens the fundamental foundation of state of Chaos(混沌,혼돈)
coming from the outside world, one will naturally come to realize that they are in perfect
harmony with the true essence of their own soul.

全昧者는 全沒覺性理也라 (전매자는 전몰각성리야라)
The one in total ignorance is one who completly loses awareness
of the principles of human nature.
靈性은 包天理하고 天理는 包人道하며 人道는 藏情慾하나니
(영성은 포천리하고 천리는 포인도하며 인도는 장정욕하나니)
The spiritual nature encompasses Heavenly Principle;
Heavenly Principle encompasses Huma Duty;
Human Duty contains passionate desires.
故로 情慾甚者는 人道廢하며 天理沈하며 靈性壞하나니
(고로 정욕심자는 인도폐하며 천리침하며 령성괴하나니)
Therefore, if passionate desires become excessive, Human Duty isabandoned,
Heavenly Principle sinks, and the spiritual nature is destroyed.
闢安閉混則已容을 自覺이니라. (벽안폐혼즉이용을 자각이니라.)
By opening up peace and closing out chaos,
one becomes self-aware of one′s true countenance.
[Commentary/Exposition, 풀이]
情慾(정욕)을 귀하게 여겨 감추어 놓고 신중하게 사용하면 보물이 되어 귀한 것이다.
If one treasures Passionate Desires (情慾,정욕) by keeping them contained
and using them with utmost caution, they become a precious asset like a rare treasure.
그러나 이를 드러내 놓고 천박하게 함부로 사용하면 자신의 윤리와 건강을 해치는 흉기가 된다.
However, if one exposes them openly and uses them recklessly in a vulgar manner,
they turn into a lethal weapon that destroys one′s own morality and health.
