認艱(인간)은 남의 어려움을 자신이 당한 것 생각하는 것이다.
In-gan(認艱,인간) means considering the hardships of others as if they were one′s own.
남에게 급한 어려움이 있다면 정성스럽게 그 어려움을 해결하도록 방법을 찾아야 한다.
If someone is facing an urgent difficulty,
one must sincerely seek a way to resolve that difficulty.
방법은 힘에있지 않고 남을 사랑하기를 자신과 같이 여기는데 있다.
The solution lies not in mere power,
but in loving others just as one loves onaself.

認艱者는 人之艱難을 認若己當也라 (인간자는 인지간난을 인약시당야라)
Those who practice In-gan recognize the hardships of others an facing them themselves.
人有急難이면 懇求方略이니 (인유급난이면 간구방략이니)
If a person is in urgent distress,
one should earnestly seek straegies and plans to help them.
不在乎力이요 在乎愛人如己하느니라.(재부호력이요 재호애인여기하느니라.)
It does not depend on physical strenght or power;
it depends on loving others as oneself.
