No.23 : Bojan(保産,보산)... Preserving industries/ Protecting production... 123th Affair.
保産(보산)은 산업을 잃지 않음이다.
Bojan(保産,보산) means not losing or destroying one′s industry (productive livelihood).
마음을 굳게하고 뜻을 단단하게 하여 방자함이 행하여져서는 안된다.
One must steady the mind and make the resolve firm,
ensuring that selt-indulgence or negligence is never practiced.
業(업)이 오래되면 통함이 있어 떨쳐 일어나되 위축됨이 없어 능히 산업을 보전하게 된다.
When a livelihood or occupation(業,업- Eop)is sustained over a long period,
a deep understanding and breakthrough are achieved.
This allows one to rise up vigorously without shrinking back,
thereby enabling the successful preservation of one′s industry.

保産者는 不失産業也라 (보산자는 불실산업야라)
Bojan means not losing or failing one′s industry and livelihood.
心固志硬하여 放肆不售로대 (심고지경하여 방사불수로대)
By keeping the mind resolute and the will firm,
one does not allow self-indulgence to take place;
業久則通에 有振無縮하여 能保乃産라 (업구즉통에 유진무축하여 능보내산라.)
When an occupation is long-enduring, it leads to a thorough mastery,
bringing forth vigorous advancement without shrinking back,
thus capably preserving one′s industry.
[Explanation, 풀이]
산업을 잃는다면 피와 땀과 눈물로서 이루어야할 在世理化(재세이화)의 바탕을 잃는 것이며,
Losing one′s industry means losing the very foundation of
Jaese lwha(在世理化,재세이화, -governing the world with reason and divine princples),
Which must be built upon blood, sweat, and tears.
在世理化(재세이화)가 없다면 남에게 베푸는 弘益人間(홍익인간)의 근거도 없는 것이다.
Furthemore, if there is no Jaese lwha(在世理化,재세이화),
the grounding and basis for practicing Hongik lngan(弘益人間,홍익인간 -broadly benefiting all humanity)
by giving to dthers will also cease to exist.
