Promoting cultivation... 124th Affair.
奬勤(장근)은 인간이 인간으로 되어지도록 교화되는것을 격려함이다.
Janggeun(奬勤,장근) means encouraging people to be edified and enlightened so
that they can truly become human.
사람은 교화시켜야 사람이 된다.
A person becomes a true human being only through edification and moral teaching.
이는 봄철에 만물이 점점 불어나는것과 같고, 먼지낀 거울이 닦여져 밝아짐과 같으다.
This is like all creation gradually growing and flourishing during the spring season,
and it is like a dust-covered mirror being wiped clean to become bright and clear.
사람의 단점을 덮어주며 장점을 높이 세워주어 착함을 열어주고 능력은 떨치도록해야한다.
One should cover a person′s shortcomings while highly praising and uplifting their strengths,
thereby opening the path to goodness and allowing their capabilities to fully manifest and soar.

奬根者는 奬人之勤化育也라 (장근자는 장인지근화육야라)
Janggeun means encouraging people to diligently pursus edification,
transformation, and nurturing.
育人而人化하나니 (육인이인화하나니)
By nurturing people, they become truly humanized and edified.
春物은 漸滋하고 塵鏡은 轉明이라 (춘물은 점자하고 진경은 전명이라)
It is like spring creation gradually growimg and thriving,
and a dusty mirror turning brighter and clearer as it is wiped.
掩短揭長하며 開善揚能이니라. (엄단게장하며 개선양능이니라.)
Covering up shortcomings while exalting strengths,
one opens the path to goodness and promotes a person′s inner capabilities.
