몸은 정신이 살고있는 집이며, 마음이 사용하는 것이다.
The body is the dwelling place where the spirit resides,
and it is the instrument used by the mind.
이에 마음에서부터 비롯되지않고 안일한 생각과 방자한 기운으로부터 비롯 되어
대수롭지않게 착한일을 행하지 않는다면 도리어 元理(원리)인 善(선)을 해치는 것이다.
Therefore, if one′s actions do nat stem grom the mind but rather originate from complacent
thoughts and an arrogant disposition―leading one to carelessly fail to practice goodness
― it conversely harms 'Goodness', which is the fundamental cosmic principle (元理,원리).
따라서 몸을 닦고도 천성을 잃은 사람은 아직없다.
Thus, there has never yet been a person who cultivated their body and behavior,
yet still lost their innate heavenly nature.

身은 靈之居宅也이요 心之所使라 (신은 영지거택야이요 심지소사라)
The body is the dwelling place of the spirit and that which is commanded by the mind.
不由諸心而由於安意肆氣하여 (불유제심이유어안의사기하여)
If[actions] do not arise from the mind but instead stem from a complacent will
and an unrestrained disposition,
輒行不善이면 反害元理하 (첩행불선이면 반해원리하)
and one readily commits unvirtuous acts,
it conversely inflicts harm upon the fundamental principle.
故로 修身而失天性者는 未之有也라 (고로 수신이실천성자는 미지유야라.)
Therefore, one who cultivates the body yet lises their innate nature is something
that has not yet existed.
[풀이]
몸은 곧 地(지)이며 陰(음)과 陽(양)의 氣(기)가 지배하는 곳으로 그 중심에는
理(이)인 三眞(삼진)의 참됨이 존재하고 있으며 참됨의 중심에는 一神(일신)이 존재하고 계시다.
The body is the Earth(地,지). It is a place ruled by the energy(氣,기) of Yin(陰,음)
and Yang(陽,양). At its center exists the truth of the Three Truths(三眞,삼진),
Which is the Principle(理,이).
At the center of this truth, the One God(一神,일신) resides.
몸이 三眞(삼진)의 참됨을 따르지않고 방자한 氣(기)를 따른다면
이는 곧 三眞(삼진)의 중심에 내려와계신 一神(일신)을 해치는 것으로 一神(일신)은 곧 元理(원리)이다.
If the body does not follow the truth of the Three Truths(三眞,삼진) but instead
follows undisciplines energy(氣,기), this directly harms the One God(一神,일신)
who has descended into the center of the Three Truths(三眞,삼진).
The One God(一神,일신) is the ultimate principle(元理,원리).
몸을 닦는 것은 三眞(삼진)의 참됨을 몸으로 확장시키는 것이며
궁극적으로는 一神(일신)의 영역을 확장시키는 것이며
一神(일신)은 곧 眞我(진아)이니 나의 몸을 참다운 나로 만드는 것이다.
Cultivating the body means expanding the truth of the Three Truths(三眞,삼진)
into the physical body.
Ultimately, it means expanding the realm of the One God(一神,일신).
The One God(一神,일신) is the True Self(眞我,진아); thus, it makes my body
into my true self.
이러한즉 몸을 참다움의 덩어리가 된다면 天性(천성)인 眞性(진성)을 잃을 까닭이 없다.
Threefore, if the body becomes a mass of pure truth,
there is no reason to lose one′s True Nature(眞性,진성),
which is our innate Heavenly Nature(天性,천성).
