NO. 41 : Peaceful Nurturing(穩養,온양)... Nurturing Comfortably... Case 143.
穩養(온양)은 안전하게 기르는 것이다.
"Peaceful Nurturing(穩養,온양)" means to raise and nurture something safely.
만물이 의지할 바가 없으면 외롭고 위태로웁고 또한 우환이 있으니,
When all things have nothing to rely on, they become lonely,
endangered, and plagued by anxiety of hardship.
거두어 길러서 안전하게 자라나도록 기를수 있는 장소를 마련하고 바탕을 인도하여 일을 성취하여야 한다.
Therefore, one must take them in, nurture them, provide a place where they can grow safely,
and guide their fundammental nature to help them successfully achieve their goals.

穩養者는 安以養之也라 (온양자는 안이양지야라)
"Peaceful Nurturing" means to nurture them with safety and peace.
有物無依하여 孤危且患이거든 (유물무의하여 고위차환이거든)
If there is a thing that has notying to lonely, endangered, and distressed,
收而養之하여 安其成長하고 (수이양지하여 안기성장하고)
One should gather and nurture it so that its growth may be safe and stable.
養之有地하여 相贊就業이니라. (양지유지하여 상찬취업이니라.)
By providing a proper place for this nurturing,
one helps and guides it to successfully complete its task.
