No. 42 : Successful Conclusion(克終,극종)... A Good End... Case 144.
克終(극종)은 착하게 일을 끝맺는 것이다.
"Successful Conclusion(克終,극종)" means bringing a matter to a good and proper end.
사랑을 시작하여 사랑이 끝마침이 없다면, 사물에 끝이 없음과 같다.
If love is initiated but fails to reach its proper conclusion,
it is like a thing that remains forever incomplete.
늙은 누에가 가지에서 떨어지면 한자의 실도 얻을수 없게 되듯 사물을 사랑함에도 반드시 마침을 잘해야 한다.
Just as an old silkworm falling from a branch yields not even a single inch of silk,
one must ensure a proper conclusion whan loving and caring for things.

克終者는 善其終也라 (극종자는 선기종야라)
"Successful Conclusion" means making its ebding good and proper.
愛始不愛終이면 物無終局이니 (애시부애종이면 물무종국이니)
If one loves the beginning but fails to love the end, the matter will never reach a final conclusion.
老蠶落枝면 尺絲를 何得이리요 (노잠락지면 척사를 하득이리요)
If an old silkworm falls grom the branch, how can one obtain even an inch of silk?
故로 愛物에 必克終이니라. (고로 애물에 필극종이니라.)
Therefore, in loving and caring for things, one must bring them to a successful conclusion.

가장 끝을 잘맺는 방법은 끝을 만들지 않음이다.
The best way to achieve a proper conclusion is, ironically,
not to create an artificial ending at all.
매번 끝을 만드는것은 매번 새로 사작함을 의미한다.
Continually Manufacturing an end implies constantly having to start anew.
이는 매번 실패했음을 의미하는 것이다.
This, in truth, means that one has failed every single time.
